    Not a Fan.
But I am also not a hater.

Rogers is most likely a HoF QB but he is done.
    I can't see Pittsburgh going this way unless;
    - He accepts the role of a Backup: Not likely
    - Comes cheap: Not likely.
    - Mentors whomever they go with as #1 QB.: Not Likely

    I can't see it.

I can't fall in love with it until I see it. I can't full on hate it until I see it. Russ worked here until he didn't. I think ARod is better than Russ. I can't think of any reason to not bring him in for a chat.

Rodgers had the 3rd quickest release in the league last season, Russell Wilson was ranked 28th and Fields 38th. So with 2 elite WR's and an above average TE, Rodgers can quickly make the right read and can still throw the ball on target. I think the offense would click with him at QB.

Don't want him, but would prefer him over Wilson.

I think rodgers would be a better price than what wilson would be but he's not mobile like Fields. So I'm wondering how he plays in this system.

But for down the field throwing, Rodgers
    Over the middle, Rodgers.
But it's not a leap of difference.

I still can't believe we didn't get geno Smith.

And Sam darnold I'm not sold on. Specially with what that asking price is going to be. And with how geno only got a 3rd.

Rodgers 8 years ago before he went nuts would be a great signing. Rodgers today is greatly diminished, controversial, and his off field stuff which continues to spill into his on field stuff would make him almost nuclear for the Steelers.

i don't want my qb running the ball. that's asking for trouble. add to the o-line and let the qb throw the ball to these freaky big targets we have. GP, DK, parham, washington and muth. warren can catch out of the backfield as well. get a ricco dowdle that is a clone of warren in a way. run it and pass it with a guy that can read a defense and distribute the ball to the play makers. this isn't the wishbone we should be running with this talent. rodgers can spread the ball and read a defense.

They have to have back up plans if neither Fields nor Darnold end up a Steeler. This likely means that we have next to zero interest in a reunion with Russ. Fields is priority #1, Darnold has a shot (though his contract will be bigger than what most on here would be willing to pay), and the fall back plan appears to be Rodgers. Russ potentially if all 3 go elsewhere.

This was discussed on "Get Up" this morning. With Rodgers, Metcalf and Pickens the Steelers would have 3 of the biggest hot heads in the league on the sidelines. It could go south in a hurry when a game is getting away from them. But football wise I still think it would work.

Man I hope it is not Aaron. This dude looked scared of getting hit last season every time he dropped back to throw the ball. His heart is saying he still can play at a high level but his head is saying self preservation.

this is why you still keep fixing the o-line. it ain't a done deal yet. no qb wants to be under attack every drop back. especially one that takes longer to read a defense, IE fields and russell.

Fixing the o-line is asking a lot from this subpar coaching staff.

You're not lying, we saw how sensitive Pickens got when Russ said he ran the wrong route. Now imagine Rodgers on the Pat McAfee show every week.

I'd take the cheapest of the 3 between Wilson, Rodgers and Fields. None are long term answers.. I don't think we're a super bowl caliber team.. so, save as much money as possible with a stop gap QB until we find a franchise QB (hopefully sooner than later).

I honestly don't know how I feel about this. Part of me wants to see what Fields can do with a season of his own, but I'm not sure he's the answer at all. Rodgers is a 1 year option and we're back at square one next year. Rodgers isn't a Brady situation in TB either, nobody is fighting to play with the guy like they did Brady in TB.

I wouldn't hate it if he signed, but I think I'd rather see what we have in Fields and then move on next year, or Fields lights it up and we have a decently young QB for the future.

Last year Rodgers statistically was better than the Fields/Wilson combination

And neither Fields or Wilson particularly stood out as being exceptionally better than the other

One big advantage of Rodgers coming here would be that it won't happen without some serious attention to the offense..... And that is much needed imo.

I will be some kind of pissed if we go the Rodgers route. The only positive is that I can't imagine they go that direction without adding additional firepower to the offense.

Rodgers has less mobility than Russell at this point and he's like five years older, I would take Russell over Rodgers.
