If we finally win ONE playoff game, it will have been worth it.

I wasn't in either camp when the "will he or won't he" was happening all season. The one thing that I've been beyond impressed with is all the intangibles we've heard about. The way he has been hanging around the young players and his door always being open during camp for anyone who wanted to come in and talk football. What an amazing resource for a young player.

Rogers needs 116 yds passing this week to pass Ben for 5th on the all time list.

I saw a clip from Sundays game where Rodgers was asked about his first taste of AFC N football and he downplayed it a bit with the whole he has been part of North football for a long time and weather and blah blah blah. I thought he didn't understand the question or he was trying to be PC about it.

I respect that the NFC N is a tough division and that the Packers had tough games against their division but there weren't guys being taken off on carts. You aren't seeing Ben having his nose busted, Deebo laying out two Browns in the same game. Hines Ward forever altering how WR are allowed to block because he broke a guy's jaw. Burficut getting laided out by Juju. AB being taken out by the same guy. Ryan Clark trying to end guys with absolutely brutal hits. Yes the NFC N is tough but we have war. images.jpeg

I was against the Rodgers signing. I consider it a wasted season. Selling bs to the fanbase.
We should had given Rudolph 2-3 year window, or rolled with Howard, working towards SB in his window.

I saw that too and wasn’t exactly sure why Rodgers responded the way he did; however, in fairness, Rodgers may have interpreted the question to be about playing football in the northern states.

We saw what Rudolph was capable of here and elsewhere. What would be the point of giving Rudolph another 2-3 years. To me, that is more wasteful than using Rodgers for a year or two.

As far as Howard, I am not sure there are many teams who would just roll with a rookie 6th round pick to start the season at QB.

I disagree. We drafted and trained Rudolph, he'd done well in relief duty, and deserved the starting contract.
But if not, that's fine, we drafted a national champ Howard and that should be our QB for the next at least 2 years if you want to keep him on short leash. Money was not an issue, both cost less than Rodgers.
I will always be against 1-year rentals of 40-year old quarterbacks. And also I will always be against signing QBs to start who have failed elsewhere on their previous contract, recently. (i.e. Russ, Fields, Trubisky, etc.) Always. The standard is the standard.

But, to end on a positive note, I think we have a great QB room. Very happy about that.

You obviously haven't watched any games this season so let me catch you up on how the year has gone. We are 4-1 and in first place with Aaron Rodgers at QB.

It's fine. I think Khan did well. It's Mike's choice in the end who starts. He is coaching for SB.

Doesn’t Rudolph fit this statement? He went to the Titans, even started 5 or 6 games for them. While there, Rudolph only won one game and was 9-9 (TD-Int).

Now I’ll say, I like Rudolph as a backup and think he might even be top tier in that regard.

At least 2 years? Don’t compromise on your principles! Windows are 4 years, not at least 2.

No, Rudolph was never the starter. He never was given that opportunity.

Yes, but Howard is under a 3-year contract with us, even though I think he is a first round starter talent in last year's draft and should've been drafted in the first round to start with the four-year window on some team, including the Steelers.

    It’s a 4 year contract. He is a free agent in 2029.

Wasn't he like a fifth rounder, I thought those later rounders were 3-year contract. Thank you anyway!

There are quarteback prospect like for a recent example Jaxson Dart, or Bryce Young, or Kenny Pickett who are not quite first round but can be drafted on Day 2 to start, and those are on short leash, 2-year leash.

Rudolph and Howard are not in that group. They are first round talents.

I don’t agree with him starting right away.
Let him sit and learn. Will have a much better chance to succeed when his number is called.

Did you say Mason is a first round talent?

Yes, I agree with Colbert and Mike who saw him as a first round talent in that draft. And I am 100% certain that Khan views Howard as a first round talent, deserving of a starting job in the NFL. And I agree with that.
Now Mike has recently leaned towards running quarterbacks. I don't know where Khan stands on that.
