    You win.

Saw that. Kind of shocked. Never saw it coming.

Problem with this for the Rams is that they've re-done his contract so many times that even if he doesn't get his "salary" this year ($1.25 million) they're still holding the bag for $23 million this year and $18 million in both '25 and '26.

Well done Sir - for an undersized D Lineman who wasn't projected to fair well in the pros. Another in a line of great Pitt alumnus who won nearly every conceivable college and pro award (some forthcoming when they qualify) - joining Tony Dorsett, Larry Fitzgerald, Darrelle Revis, Dan Marino, Mark May. Too bad they couldn't have played at Pitt at the same time for 4 years!

The cost of having best, at times can come back and bite you. They did a good job in rebuilding quickly last year, but Stafford and Kupp are nearing the end as well, different ways in managing the CAP, interesting to see how it plays out.

so, hypotheticly, could he sign with another team for league minnimum, and the rams still have to pay the 23 and 18 mil?

The Rams still have to pay him, but he won't be able to sign with another team, since the Rams still own his rights until the end of his contract. He's not earning a salary, since he's retired, but he still has to abide by the contract he signs. Otherwise, every time a player wanted a "trade", he could just retire and then unretire a week or two later.

Almost reminds me of Barry Sanders/Megatron big difference
Is. Aaron has a superbowl trophy. I am happy for him to be able to get out
hopefully in good physical condition. But wanting to see more of the talent and enjoyment that these players gave will be talked about for a long time.

This feels like one of those non-retirement "retirements". Maybe I'm way off, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him play again.
