I hope the Ravens don't hire Flores.

I agree with the Ravens posters about the ranking of the openings. Ravens will have their pick for coaches. It is everything you could ever want. MVP QB in place. Owner that values stability and loyalty. Talent up and down the roster.

In any rational world, no one would sign anywhere until this job got filled. But the NFL is far from a rational world, so the Atlanta job will fill first or some such nonsense.

I think the 4th one was from a Baltimore poster named BDOT and it’s a fake boycott

The Ravens and Steelers and Harbaugh and Tomlin are mirror images. Fans apathetic. No playoff success in a coon's age. Scared owners (one finally got some courage).

The Ravens at least have some hope moving forward. We have (a little) hope right now of wining a playoff game, not likely, but possible if we could keep the HC/OC/DC all locked in a shed for 3 hours we might win.

Loop might very well have jump-started the Ravens franchise and cursed the Steelers franchise. One missed, relatively short kick and huge momentum swings for the franchises. I fear Steelers will be stuck with Tomlin for another couple of years.

Ravens fans weigh in on Steelers HC. Some of these comments actually make some sense of the decision:

    • "You cannot make this up. The Steelers are turning into the Raiders and Cowboys before our eyes."
    • "Damn. I thought McDermott or Shula. Thats actually good news for us."
    • "With McCarthy at HC, Rodgers at QB, and that defense, the Steelers are ready to party like it's 2009."
    • "So Steelers only interviewed 3 candidates Anthony Weaver, Brian Flores and Mccarthy and they said yup this is my guy? lol. This is a win for the entire division."
    • "To me, it says we’re going into a two or three year rebuild and we need someone who can manage things and not worry about their next job. [interesting]"]
    • "He coached in 2024. It's been 1 year that he's been out. His DC in Dallas is now the head coach of the Commanders. McCarthy has not only coached recently but his assistants have also done well enough to get head coaching jobs of their own. McCarthy has been a head coach in the NFL 18 of the past 20 years. He's a retread the same way that Sean Payton is a retread. Honestly I'm not happy that McCarthy got that job. I'd rather they had given it to a young rookie head coach who might not know how to deal with that older roster."
    • .. think it's going to be a flush for them. They need a vet who can stand in those uncomfortable press conferences when they've won 5 games while they work the process and shed some contracts. They don't have a QB or a high draft pick and their defense is old, it's going to take a couple of years and he's not naive.

Steelers did not have a real process, they decided on MM from the outset, did the bare minimum, didnlt even bother waiting for Shula et al because they never wanted anyone but MM in the first place. The minute Clowney said "We don't need a rebuild" this was a done deal.
