A very unimpressive win today

It's really lame that cleveland won today. I would really have loved for us to be the only team in our division to win. Did you see the hit they put on Locker to knock him out of the game? I've seen some stories calling it "dirty".

 

Actually it was AB that christened TB the "worst team in the league". LOL.

 

Only one game out of having home field throughout

 

To me, a win is a win. Like Blast Furnace said, there isn't a big difference between the good and not so good teams. The
'lowly' Bucs team we lost to put up 31 points in New Orleans.

 

Your right, but one my biggest concerns is the guy holding the chalk !! LOL

Absolutely! There are deficiencies but to say the worst in the league?? Come on, that's reaching right there.

Any Steeler fan who has been around for more than 3 years knows that the team plays down, Ben likes a come from behind win (he has even said so in interviews--"It gives our fans something to stay and cheer for") and that you want the Steelers to pick to lose that day.

This team needs to "gel" but they aren't the worst.

 

It was unimpressive, but a win none the less. Now to the clown dome. They are all highed up off there performance yesterday.

Out of the 5 games that they have played, only one was a complete 3 phase win, Carolina.

Was good to see the secondary awake yesterday while the Offense is still sleeping. Better not sleep on the clowns...

Pointless to continually talk negative but hey I am only pointing out the obvious and when I do the thread gets locked down because its a personal attack. Really? The gameday thread is public and as such can be seen by anyone..

Much the same as any Steelers fan who's been around for more than five minutes knows that it hasn't been 40 years since we last returned an interception for a touchdown.

 

A win is a win to Browns fans or Lions fan. To me, a win isn't a win, not when we look the way we did. If not for some poor QB play by a rookie QB, we would have lost this game. A win isn't a win when we have the talent we do, especially on offence. I'll take the win, but we need to play better, a lot better. We could have easily lost this game, and although the fact that we won matters more, the fact we could have easily lost also matters. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I've come to expect better from the Steelers. We have too much talent on this team to play the way we did.

 

Why is it pointless to continually talk negative? It's called having an opinion. You don't like it, so then read it and move on, or choose not to read his posts and move on, either way, move on. This team is painful to watch right now and has been for years. Some of us aren't the glass half full type, so deal with it. I don't go out of my way to call out the optimists on here when we lose, so why do some of you feel the need to try to jam your bull**** down our throats? How about you have your opinion and you let others have their opinions. It's not difficult.

 

I agree and I am right there with you. As I stated in other thread I hope the Coaches also look at how we played and determine a plan to get the Team to play better .....I really think the Team needs more practice and Team time ,,we just don't look like a singular unit to start games...

 

Valid points shaner82 but it gets a little tiring reading the same negativity week in and week out. Even when we win there still seems to be negativity.. Yeah they are opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs. I get that but the same stuff repeated over and over does not make it any different or any more palatable.. Change the record is all I am saying. Any game this year win or lose has some positives. Regardless.. Just sayin

 

See I find it annoying having to read posts from people who act like we don't have any problems or that our only problems are growing pains. I find it especially annoying how Ben gets a pass despite the fact that he hurts us as often as he helps us, but I'm not going to start calling people out because their opinion differs from mine. I feel that my opinion is just as valid as yours, no matter how different. If someone is a troll and is just looking to stir the pot, let TTF deal with it. There's just no reason to constantly call out people just because you're tired of hearing their opinion which happens to be negative, because believe me some of us are just as tired of what we believe is unjustified optimism.

Besides, last week in the game day thread a member was calling out the optimists and was making it personal, and he got blasted by numerous people, including a mod as well as myself. So I'm no hypocrite, it works both ways. Were all here to share opinions and we shouldn't be told to stay quiet just because we don't think everything is great in Steeler land

 

I am guessing when reading your replies your reference to others as well since I don't call out anyone on their opinion. In fact that might have been my first point just illustrating my frustrations of gameday thread ... I am sure the person to which I posted comments is not a troll but if you don't have anything at all to say positive just don't post.. Sure they have as much right to post as anyone of us but sure is looking like we have a few trolls on this board. Not only trolls but people calling out others and insulting others opinions and are not dealt with.

Not everything is remotely close to being alright in Steeler land.. But not everything is bad either. Well at least not from my vantage point.

 

Shaner, I don't think you fully understand what bus is talking about. This isn't even close to two people having a debate over an issue. I don't want to make TTF mad, but bus has a valid point and it's something that should really be looked into.
