'A Steelers Fan’s Winter Tale'

’Twas the night of the playoffs and all through the house

Dreams of a Steelers win raced as I squashed the ol’ couch.

Snacks like pierogie and ham filled a hoagie,

Crumbs on my beard as I crushed them before me.

The game was all ours, the quarters flew by us.

I knew in my heart our team was victorious.

Then Ben, he got smashed by the Burfict machine.

My thrill was displaced by thoughts very mean.

The score is lopsided, we’re losing by now,

When Shazier plays crazier and strips the ball. Wow!

Big Ben comes back, a knight on a horse.

With so little time, it couldn’t be worse.

Burfict the creep blows up Mr. Brown,

But penalties and Porter can’t keep us down.

Thoughts of concern for the health of our AB,

While Pacman is benched and cries like a baby.

But Boswell, MVP, comes to our aid.

We did. We won. Our future is saved.

Yes, Steelers fans, there’s surely a Claws.

Those screwballs from Cincy provided Ha-Ha’s.

See you in Denver, remember ’06.

Seven is heaven. A ring in the mix.
