Sadly it won't be. There will be plenty on here wanting to say we got lucky, pats had injuries, Brady let us win etc etc

Such is the tunnel-visioned idolisation of NE around here.

Regarding the pats, there is something different about them this year. Many of us have said we felt this year was going to see them in decline, see them vulnerable. So far that has been the case.

They can be beat this year.

Regarding us, we're not playing up to our potential, but we've shown flashes. We still haven't played good football. Consider our upside compared to the pats. I honestly believe they are playing far closer to their potential than we are.

Even with all the drama, this is still our year to knock them down a peg. Nothing so far has told me we can't be playing our best ball when it counts.

    Idolization? Very inaccurate.

I just analyze the data. No Patriots worship here. Just cold hard facts and truth.

The Steelers defense does not match up well vs. the Patriots offense and never has since Brady has been QB for the Pats. Even with Polamalu, Harrison, Farrior, Hampton, Smith, Woodley, etc... in their primes.

The Steelers offense, more often than not, can not move the ball consistently vs. the Patriots D.

The Steelers haven't beaten the Patriots since 2011... and only beat them once before (2004) when they had Brady at QB.

What makes this even more infuriating... is that teams like the Ravens, Broncos, Chiefs, Giants, Seahawks, Panthers, etc... have beaten them quite soundly over the years. Teams the Steelers have no problem competing with.

All things change and everyone gets old. We’ve been working to change our defensive mindset and use a new approach. I don’t think living in the past will help, we have to move forward and get the best from our team.

And you should be, that was nothing but awful. It would be equal to the tuck rule if it was in the playoffs.
