Why onside kick, who checked out of 4th and 1 and threw pass incomplete Ben or Haley?

Wow, we were not mentally prepared to play this game. Unbelievable.

 

The onside kick actually would have been ok, you just cannot get a penalty there. Either way, if we kick it or onside we had to get a 3 and out..we could not let them get a 1st down. The onside option had 2 possibilities for success and a huge chance of failure. Kicking it off was the obvious choice. Then why on earth did we not call time out with 2:08 seconds when the jags had the ball on 2nd down? We could have forced them to run another play before the 2min warning . That was so elementary. Good coaches do not miss those kinds of things.

 

Exactly, here are few more:

Why pitch it 5 yards behind the line to Bell on 4th and inches.

Why keep running laterally when the jags defensive speed shut it down every play.

Why abandon the short dump off passes that the jags couldn't defend everytime you cross midfield?

Why not spy bortles on 3rd and long after he was ripping off 10 yard runs earlier in the drive?

 

Why do you bench all your starters in week 17 when you are getting a bye week? These guy haven't played meaningful football in a month. It showed.

 

Nah , disagree here, the offense easily did enough to win today and they were the ones resting, this is all on the D

They sure looked out of sync to start the game.

 

Its pretty simple. The defense allowed 5 TD's out of 5 trips to the redzone. You will lose the game 5 out of 5 times when that happens.
