Some Steelers fans loved to hate Noll, some Steeler fans loved to hate Cowher and some love to hate Tomlin. Some Steeler fans think we need to win every game and the Super Bowl every year and if we don't heads need to roll.

I'm not hating on a guy that has two Super Bowl wins under his belt and has a winning record. Does he have warts? Yep, great big ones that have infuriated me at times. But as other have said I don't see anyone else out there I'd choose over him right now. Hopefully he can improve and take advantage of all the great talent around him while also doing better at building a better defense for us.

Every team has coach haters. I've heard some Chiefs fans killing Andy Reid recently on Movin the Chains, and Pat Kirwan has tried to talk them down, but even after all of their arguments are laid bare, they still fall back on "just because."

I think Tomlin's good on balance. There are definitely some things he can do better - a lot better. But the same can be said for every coach. Heck, every human being.

If things go badly today, I may feel differently temporarily, but I'll come to my senses when the steam dissipates.

Personally I believe Tomlin is a great coach. When you lose weapons and your quarterback two years in a row and can still make it to the playoffs... you know your coach is doing something right. :thumbs up:

It could have been sold...He is a perfect fit for a 4-3 not a 3-4 ...Not been a bad player just a bad fit ...He will leave and get in a 4-3 and have a good career ....

    YES
    but
there are some ( BLAST FURNACE) who will never blame Ben

    in every loss
there will be someone to blame

it is only natural that most times it would fall on the coach warranted or not
the buck stops there and a good coach welcomes that as Tomlin does accept blame
i have problems with every coach and player on the Steelers
    so there

guess that makes me a stupid bias fan

why is it people get bent out of shape when a former Steeler's player offers an opinion that isn't hey the team and everyone associated with it are the greatest EVER!!!!! Terry doesn't have a personal relationship with Tomlin, if you listen to what he says after the shock statement that gets you not to click away he says he knew next to nothing about Tomlin comong out of Minnesota. He just isn't a fan and that's perfectly ok.

You're view of the market for trades is comical.

Justin Gilbert for a conditional 6th rounder

And a lot are predicted Jimmy G for a #1 and a #2 ...A player needs to be pegged as playing behind a guy so good it keeps them from shining or playing in the wrong position ...You could have sold Wheaton that way because of AB and pointed to that 200 yard game when we made him the focal point ...

Jones could also be sold as a guy out of position. He has tape that shows he plays better in space even his pre draft grades had him as a better fit as a 4-3 guy. ..I am sure some Teams had him slated as a 2nd. rounder in the 4-3.. Now he has experience and has gained some speed and weight ...

It only takes that 1 Team and there are a lot of Teams with huge holes at both spots...

Did not state that at all. I am more amazed and fasinated about the number of people you truly blame Tomlin for just about everything.

In addition, I did in fact state that "by those" who simply blame him for everything. Even when things go right, there is always going to be something he will get blames for.

At this point though, I now find these complaints funny and truly intriguing.

The true test of how good of a coach MT is will come when Ben retires.

I've long said that the Steelers would be lucky to win four games without Ben.

However, MT may graduate to the broadcasting booth when Ben retires.

    didn't say you did
    but
    i did

    no argument here

just saying there are people who can't lay blame when it is blatant where the blame lies
also stating that Tomlin does not hesitate to take all blame on his own

As far as great current NFL HC there are probably only 2 Belichick and Pete Carroll, Tomlin would be in the good HC category.

They weren't going to trade Wheaton when they knew Bryant was suspended.
