He's 32, but his been durable over the years. Not much tread left on the tires, but he would be a reliable back up. Cincy fans seem to be glad he's gone, but to me that's an endorsement for signing him.
    Vet minimum, of course.
    Thoughts?

Before Cinci fans were glad to see him depart, Green Bay fans were also glad to see him depart. I can't say I've studied his play in depth recently, but I'd prefer to develop young depth rather than bring him in.

I'd try to target someone younger as well. If a bunch of guys get injured during training camp/preseason then that's a different story.

Pass he was something awhile back and hasn't been much since... Reminds me of a lb'er that left us for money to go Seattle back in the day (more due to his hype and why not) and was nary heard from again although he was an olb he was still a big name credential... Name that tune

Go younger, draft a back up. Get a guy that can play special teams. AJ Hawk doesn't bring much special teams value at 32 and this point of his career.

I would rather go younger vs. older. Especially at a back up position. Need a guy that can play special teams.

He'd be worse than what Farrior was in his last couple seasons here.. And Farrior was the far better player in his prime... No to aging middle linebackers.

If he had anything left of value the bungles wouldn't have released him.

Absolutely not. He has never lived up to the hype that he immediately garnered out of college and has declined every single season since. Had a few above average seasons early in his career but shows absolutely nothing lately. I'd be surprised if any team is interested. He really needs to hang it up honestly.

16 tackles with 1 sack last season. Not a good deal.

Dont know about that, the bungles signed him for 2 years at 3.2 million, but he lasted only 1 year: If he had anything left and they already had him under contract cheap, why didn't they keep him for depth????
