A good case that the Steelers need to be more involved in free agency.

Well we lost Burress after the 04'-05' season to free agency, and we went on to win Super Bowl XL. And then we traded Santonio Holmes before the start of the 2010 season and we went to super bowl XLV. So maybe if we lose Wallace we will go to super bowl XLVIII? Just a thought

Not too many, why do you think the Ravens have gone to the playoffs
5 straight years and what should have been back to back superbowls?
Ozzie is finding talent in ALL ROUNDS not just 1 and 2. I hate the Ravens as much as anybody
but you cannot deny Ozzie Newsome his due. How about the RB? Did you ever hear
of him before? Now he is going to take even more strides, probably will split carries
    with the fumbler Ray Rice.

Right on the money Jack Attack! When I say All avenues this is what I am talking about.
It seems like the Steelers shy away from these tough deals. If I am the Rooney's
what the F am I paying Kevin Colbert to do? MAKE OUR TEAM BETTER.

We had an 8-8 season and some of you are losing your minds. You guys think the Ravens are now the model on how to build a franchise? Most of those complaining were praising the Steeler way of doing things and now are questioning it. Now we need to sign the Ravens castoffs? Give me a break! I'll take the Steeler way even if that means another tough season or two while keeping the big picture in mind.

    Go Steelers!

Saw last nite on twitter from a pretty reliable Redskins insider (usually hits the nail on the head) that atleast two guys would be gone from ravens next year. One would be in blue & white, the other in black in gold. He didnt drop names but the word is that reed to colts and kruger to pitt???? Dont know if it would ever happen but hey, thats what the next month is for all us fans, Speculation. Right now we can only hope and wish and then see what really happens come march??

This kind of stuff cracks me up. The Ravens very well may lose a few guys but how could there be a rumor of where they're going? I'm sure Ed Reed probably has no idea where he's going.

And no way in hell we could afford Kruger. He's the top 3-4 OLB on the market and there's several teams switching to a 3-4 that will throw a lot of cash at him.

If there's anyone from the Ravens we might grab it would be Anquan Boldin if he's a cap casualty cut.

It cracks us all up!! Season is over and everybody wants something to talk about. I,m just gonna post things that i keep hearing. Hey, you never know what may happen during free agency? Probably nothing, but one can hope. As far as the rumors as to were people may be going, this is the first i have heard of kruger. The Reed thing has been reported by many reputable sources so far as Indy wanting to pick him up. Rumors are just that, Rumors! But it gives us fans something to talk about until they actually sign somewhere!!

While it would be nice to get one or two quality free agents, I agree that we are not in a financial position to do so this offseason. The only (realistic) non-Steeler free agent that I really want is Matt Moore. IMO he is the only veteran backup QB on the market who is worth signing to the kind of multi-year deal that can be cap friendly for 2013.
