No defenses got destroyed like ours did.

No difference. They were all playing in preseason games too, and yet, their Ds didn't
    get completely ripped to shreds.

    Browns gave up 19
    Bills 17
    Panthers 20
    Cards 15
    Jags 10
    Rams 15
    Raiders 19

Where are all the other buffoon defenses that got destroyed all because it's preseason? That is a lame excuse. The Steelers are indeed in deep sh-t. They had all off season to fix it and apparently did nothing.

I thought Bradley was the DB whisperer and would fix all communications problems.

Even the Browns looked respectable compared to that sh-t show Pgh put out there.

    What an utter joke.

Oh come on! Because of CBA rules no one can tackle on D. Two TD were pick 6s, from QBs we HAVE to keep, and not on the D. The Pack played their starters. The Pack game planned. Watt didn't play. It's all their for you to see. This is a D on upswing!!

Drink the Kool-aid, embrace the darkside!!,

And last week they only gave up 14 pts to the WORLD CHAMPION Eagles, so clearly they must be an elite defense.

See, it can work both ways. So how about you climb off the Fort Pitt Bridge and take a deep breath, Nellie.

I rag on the defense but...

Going based off stats butler has improved the defense each season. Sad thing it just craps the bed at the wrong time.

    The D gave up 37. Packers D gave up 34 against our 2nd stringers. Pittsburgh’s O gave up 14.

Seems like a pretty simple concept to grasp. Less practice, less quality of play.

The defense struggled in some areas and games at times last year. Over all they didn't suck.

You conveniently left out the SB champion Eagles getting shredded by New England, they gave up 37 points . The Steelers offense threw 2 pick sixes, so the defense gave up 34 points which is still bad.

the defense is going to get gashed by the run game and still give up big plays. Still tons of questions with the secondary. More than one guy has to step up on the dline this year. The linebackers are in the bottom 10 in the league as a whole. Preseason or not you're kidding yourself if you're not concerned as a fan. Maybe the defense gels and does big things. I just don't see it as a championship caliber defense and that's what the Steelers are striving for. Not a first or second round exit because blake bortles and fournette gash you all game long

Oh, yea, you are right: The sh-t D really is super great. We have no worries. Bradley is our savior; he is fixing all the poor communication with magic dust. Our D only sucks because of the CBA, but I guess we have a separate one from the other teams, because almost every team is playing better D than Pgh. But, yea, it's the CBA's fault, not our crap coaches and crap clown car LBs and safeties....and CBs.

All those horrid missed tackles and bad angles are nothing to be concerned over. I mean, our DC came out and actually said missed tackles are not meaningful, nothing to worry about there.

Soon, the best safety to ever be drafted since Polamalu will begin demonstrating his greatness. Soon, our diaphanous NT will emerge into Hampton - I mean, NT must not be important because the team keeps ignoring making it a priority, making our rush D a complete piece of wet toilet paper.

Look, I'm not giving up on the season just yet, but if you don't see glaring problems with this D, have another drink. It's atrocious and abhorrent.

This just goes to show how much you know. This D would remind you of the '85 Bears , if it weren't for that horrible anti-Stiller biased CBA.

    1) The preseason tells us next to nothing about the overall team.

    2) The Steelers defense could very well suck this year as there are multiple things to be concerned about.

These two things are not mutually exclusive.

If someone hates on the Steelers constantly and never once says anything good about the team then what exactly is it that makes them think they are a Steelers fan?
