so, you all want some more Steelers holiday cheer?

We are in the midst of a double re-build. I said for years to let Ben and Tomlin go out together. They could not win a SB or even get close in 10 years, they both should go at the same time.

Now, we are trying to rebuild with Ben out and we know that Tomlin will see the door (or should) after 2024, hence - the double rebuild. Rooney is screwing this up - big time.

I know some here know him - that is all well and good. But call it what it is. a massive failure in vision and succession planning. We will wallow for a number of years to come, sorry and sad to say.

I'm having trouble reading between the lines here, your posts are so cryptic. So, do we suck then?

What makes you think Tomlin is leaving after 2024?

Pickett is his baby, he’s going to want to build a team around him and see what they can do. For years he has listened to people saying he has only won because of Cowhers players and mostly because of Ben.

He’s not going anywhere until he decides to.

I think Mike is here until he wants to call it quits.

And I was worried about the price of Fruitcake rising just in time for Christmas.

As much as it pains me because I truly believe we will never even make another AFC Championship with MT you are 100 percent correct in this assessment

I thought this would be about the absolute need for Oline and Dline rebuild.

Something about a double rebuild of a river or something.
This guys always screaming about the sky falling.
And I think he thinks Art Rooney is Darth Vader and he's plotting to destroy his own team.

Does anyone watch the Arthur Moats show on YouTube?

He had some reflections on this the other day.

Tomlin is finishing his 16th season.
Most of them, he's been competitive. Not many coaches obtain that.
I like Moats comments around the 2 min mark. He nails it from then on.

My feeling is, Tomlin might already be thinking about retiring. 16 years in the NFL is not something you see every day.
The whole thing is a Tower of cards.
It takes top down and bottom up to make things work.

    Thanks for posting.

    it can be,
we will partially rebuild, while Tomlin is here.....and then when Rooney does not extend him (which should not happen), we can talk about the new NEW Oline and Dline for 2025!!!

i'm hoping he retires - and leaves gracefully. my HOPE is that Rooney and he will have a nice steak and cigar dinner soon and plan this out. Let MT go into the booth, or just disappear - I don't care. Just transition. For the organization. it is time.

What happens if KP doesn't turn out to be THE franchise QB of the future that MT can/will build around? I am not saying it won't happen, but I wouldn't say it will either. By the time 2024 rolls around, we'll have a clearer picture of KP, and this teams trajectory. MT may not, in all actuality, be the sole decision maker if we don't have a turn of events on the field by then. JMO>

Why are guys like you so obsessed with telling everyone that “you’ve said it for years” or that you predicted we would be bad?
You know that if you’re always predicting doom and gloom that sooner or later you’re bound to be right.

I did, but I wasn't a fan when He played on the Steelers, and after a few shows....I didn't really like His takes. I don't hate the guy...just not a fan.

kenny may just become good, but not great. who knows. build then a ROCK SOLID defense - have not had one in many many years. I think that was part of the plan this year, but we overpaid - and are just average. bad coaching too? Build a GREAT DOMINANT running game too - have not seen that is many years. LeVeon years were fun - in part due to him and also due to GREAT lineman.

the data shows that you can win a SB without a HOF QB - it is hard, but can be done. we can at least compete a high level, which we have not done in a long time

I just can't see them ever firing him unless we had a few 3-4 win seasons in a row.
