    1. Additional injury - Will Johnson. He's listed as questionable. Will be hard to run without him.

    2. Refs - Even though Cincy went off last week, I can't imagine Park Ave is too thrilled with the Steelers behavior and given the choice between the Steelers and a Manning lead Denver team (in likely his final season), the flags will be slanted in one particular direction.

    3. Steelers on the road - other than Cincy, the Steelers haven't played particularly well on the road.

    4. The NFL would love one final Brady-Manning matchup.

That being said, that's why they play the games and I'd much rather see the Steelers playing than where the Bengals are right now.

All valid points. We will know halfway through if we have a chance or not

Actually I don't think we will know anything at the half. The way teams (not just the Steelers) have played have varied dramatically from one half to the other. Big lead or big deficit at halftime doesn't seem to be predictive of anything these days.

I would say you may know something about 8 pm tonight. If the Pats have won, then the deck will be (even more) stacked against the Steelers tomorrow.

Why isn't Johnson listed as probable then?

Manning has been in two SB, certainly not a bunch, but see Jerome Bettis for HOFers going out in a Super Bowl unexpectedly (Bettis, Elway)

Denver played a much tougher home schedule than road (Pats, Bengals, Vikings, Pack all in Denver) and beat all 4 of those teams.

That's why I said you'll have a better idea tonight, if the Chiefs have beaten that Pats. Certainly hope they do, but Brady is 14-3 at home in the playoffs.

Why not try Legursky in at FB for a heavy package? Or hell, what about big Dan? He'd surely pancake someone

Technique and telegraphing. Your example is the Houston Texans with Wilfork and J.J. Watt in the wildcard round. That play was a disaster.

Yep, I wonder how Reuben "Of the hoarde of clueless Bengals fans" is enjoying his AFC North Champions hat right now?

Best see 4 solid quarters out of this Defense instead of 3.
Softy zone best disappear. Let's see the pouty paty on the sidelines.

Of course the NFL idiots would love another Brady/Manning game. I wonder how many REAL fans of the game want to see that crap? Not me.

The Steelers lose and it's fold up shop until the Super Bowl as I will be rooting hard for the NFC.

I've has enough of the Cheatriots and don't want to see that Overrated Forehead win another Super Bowl.

Tomlin has to coach well today. No bad clock management or anything like that. I believe the Steelers can get to Manning if they blitz him enough times. That will be the key to this game.

So much for Johnson practicing all week. He's inactive today.

Would think it will be hard to run without a FB. Maybe they're just going to throw all day?
