Before I go take a few Advil, a couple of milestones to note from today:

1- Antonio Brown set the Steelers single season record for receiving yards in a season, a record that had stood for 16 years. Congratulations to AB who now has a shot at being the first Steelers player to gain 1,500 yards receiving in a season.

2- The Steelers scored 21 points in a quarter for the second straight week. Anyone else want to go look up and find out the last time THAT happened? I can do it, if need be...

Ok, so I took 2 Advil, pulled out some media guides and found-

the LAST time the Steelers scored 21 points in a quarter in back to back weeks was in week 2 and week 3 of the 1997 season. And you could look it up.

Le'veon Bell needs 73 yards to set the team record for combined yardage by a rookie running back, while Brown, should he catch 12 passes, would set the team all time single season record for receptions. Today he also became only the 2 player in team history to catch over 100 passes in a single season.

This is the first time since 2008 this offense has scored 30 or more points in at least 4 games. When was the last time the Steelers did it in at least 5 games during the regular season?

    2007 season.

I also checked- if the Steelers win next week they finish 4-2 in division, and the last time they went 4-2 in the division and did not make the playoffs was 1991 (although they did miss it going 5-3 in 2000 alos)

Well done. I was thinking '07 was a "4" year for some reason. Coach Noll's last home win was on this day in 1991- 22 years ago today. That made me feel old, not sure about anyone else.
