Their is no case. They need a qualified coordinator not a college play calling trickster learning on the job.

Tomlin best swallow his pride and send Canada packing and not be stubborn and retain his hire. Mistakes are made. What's best for the team should be priority number one and Canada is not it.

Even if we win the next 2 he has to go!

Watch enough film and you will see open WRs if it's KP or MT. The fact remains is this offense has shown growth. Do the Steelers want to scrap the growth and bring in a new OC? Time will tell.

Canada is still not a good fit for Steelers offense. He is a college OC and should not be in the pros.

The Steelers offense is young. They are trying to grow and improve.

What OC is a good fit for the young Steelers offense?

We will see how the Steelers feel about Canada after the season is over.

They put up 13 against the Raiders. He needs to go.

Leftwich maybe available next season. That’s one name I’d like to see on the list of potential candidates.

You gentleman do know this upturn in Steeler fortune probably means Canada is going no where. I'd bet good money he is on the sidelines in 2023.

My problem with Canada has been his play calling has no formula to it. The plays don’t seem to be called by situation but by the pre-formatted sequence he drew up in his “dream” book before he ever became an OC.

Thankfully we have at least 4Q left of Canada. I do appreciate the change in attitude following the bye week with more of a run game approach, but I sense that this wasn't Canada's doing.

Haha, only two things would burn Ben’s ego. 1) Mason winning the starting QB spot, which didn’t happen, 2) Bringing back Todd Haley as OC.

    I disagree....

No team wants to see more FG chances than TD completions.
Ravens was 4 FG chances with one missed.
Raiders was 4 Chances with 2 missed.
Both with only TD at the end.

Panthers, colts, saints had more FG chances than TD.
Bengals 3 TD and 3 FG

That's 6 games; since the bye, with TD completions.

Only thing positive is his 3rd and 4th down conversion is top ten since the bye.

Big ben, trubisky didn't like Canada and have stated that. Johnson has even stated that.

I read retorts a couple weeks ago of Tomlin taking over.... i could have misread or stocks were wrong.

But like I most pointed out, 6 out of 8 games we've had TD problems.

I’m surprised you don’t love Matt Canada. He runs that High School crap that you’re always raving about.
If you think Canada is bad I’d hate to see how bad it would be if they ran some of your nonsense.

I'm not saying I want him back but the Steelers tend to be a lenient with their Coaches. I agree with your point that we seem to have a red zone problem and the way Boz is kicking it could be worse but I'm under the impression Canada secured himself another season. I hope someone starts a thread asking if the members think he will be back next season. 2-6 Canada on the edge but 8-8 soon 9-8 Canada staying IMO.

Why? He was the best OC we've had in a very long time.

Canada still has to go, we can t get too excited over another 16 pt outburst from this pathetic offense.

They get to the red zone or even close and the offense stalls badly.

We beat a playoff team missing two defensive line starters and their starting quarterback.

I can t figure out if KP doesn t make the reads fast enough or Canada doesn t design plays with a quick outlet seeing how KP is under almost constant pressure.

Happy for the win but not drinking the cool aid that Canada does not still suck as an OC.

Canada is too slow to let Kenny be Kenny. Why do we wait until we are losing to let Kenny move around and throw?

In the game with Ratbirds, first 3 quarters we ran, according to game announcers, 66% of offensive plays. That is too much.

I would like to see base game plan as 55% run 45% pass for now, then adjust according to score. Less 3rd downs hopefully to have to overcome, more TD`s and less FG attempts.

I HATE running the ball inside the 10 yard line. Seems stupid unless you are dominant over the opposition D-line, and that aint us. There was a year we were leading the NFL in scoring TD`s when getting into red zone and we were far more likely to pass than run to get those TD`s. Right now, we seem extreme opposite of that ability.

Need to take the training wheels off and let Kenny ride.

The red zone woes are more about the players than the play calling in my mind. I am by no means a Canada fan but on the flip side the offense has improved over the year. The run game has improved significantly. I do believe Canada needs help with pass concepts and route trees and if we keep him as a coordinator then why not bring in a pass game coordinator to develop that part of the offense?

What I don’t get is way too many people give the coaches credit or fault the coaches without considering the situation or the players stake in it. I am tired of hearing about Leftwich or Bienimi who have benefited from HOF QB’s at the helm and good head coaches above them. Be care fully with change the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Look at Russell Wilson in Denver or Josh Mcdaniels in Vegas. Sometimes these guys are more a product of the system. The offense has shown progression over the course of this year. Unless there is a better option out there than what we have now with Canada and it is an absolute that the change will truly benefit this team and Kenny Pickett then do it but to just change for the sake of change is foolish.

My honest opinion is this team was missing a very simple component that much of of the NFL misses these days with the limited pad practices. Hard nosed football and effort. They finally seem to be playing with passion. That can help you overcome alot of things. If we can truly develop this run game further and solidify the defense we slow walk Pickets development as we did with Ben early in his career. I am not opposed to keeping Canada if he can continue to prove that this offense can run the ball as it has done.
