All the current reality about this team does not put many of us in a happy place so I was reminiscing about some of the plays that had the biggest impact on me personally.

There are the slow developing plays which build to throwing the bowl of chips in the air and then there are the instant plays that make you wonder if you really saw what you saw.

The Immaculate Reception was a slow developing play that I will never forget.

James Harrison's 101 yard pick six in SB XLIII with no time on the clock was incredible, it took forever!

Santonio Holmes TD catch in SB XLIII was an instant explosion!

Brown's Immaculate Extension was another instant explosion where I think I upset the coffee table.

The Jesse James TD the refs stole is another instant explosion!

A few of Swann's catches where he seemed to walk on air are also special memories.

JuJu's hit on Burfict was priceless! Too bad he got up!

What plays stand out in your mind?

So very many....just adding a quick few:

    Bussie steamrolling Urlacher.

James Harrison introducing a Browns Fan to the turf.

    Troy P. fingertip interceptions.

Troy P. timing the snap and hurdling center for the sack before the QB got 2 steps into his drop.

Ochocinco's gold falsies flying all over the field.

    Lamberts entire highlight reel.

    Mean Joe's entire highlight reel.

Ward had a catch in Ben's rookie year right off the top of his shoe laces while in stride. Just an amazing snag.

A large number of Ward's blocks.

ARE's TD pass to Ward in the SB.

Ben's fingernail tackle to save the Playoffs.

Dawson pulling - pick any one of hundreds of those. The guy was just amazing.

yup, that is a quick few. I could go all day.

Any Troy P, especially at Ravens w strip sack of Flacco and Woodley picking up the scraps.

Santonio TD at Balt at Goal line

Bens throw to Wallace at 0.00 vs Pack for Win.

In 1997 the Steelers beat the Jaguars in OT. The game winner in OT was a screen pass from Kordell Stewart to Jerome Bettis. It was the loudest I had ever heard Three Rivers Stadium get. It was absolutely deafening.

In early 90's, the Jim Kelly led Buffalo Bills owned the Steelers. But for one single moment all that was rendered meaningless when CB Gary Jones knocked WR Don Beebe (the Wes Welker prequel) into the middle of the next week with a jarring tackle-fumble that led to Beebe being carted off the field. That single play released so much long time frustration for Steeler Nation even though as I recall the Steelers again lost to the Bills that day. Steelers finally got their revenge in 1995 with a trouncing of the Bills in the playoffs, effectively ending Buffalo's reign in the AFC.

I agree with all. One I remember was BUS slamming into Ray Lewis and both of them popping right back up yelling at each other. Had no real impact on the game but it got me so fired up.

Lambert's defense of Roy Gerela in the SB. Fired up the whole team.

This is why I love this team...too many great moments to recall them all. I will say my memories of Hines Ward stand out because, to me, he embodied what it means to be a Steeler. Whether he was dishes out the hit or receiving it, he was always smiling. Guy loved playing football!

I had the good fortune to be at the Immaculate Reception game. Leaving early from a game has never again crossed my mind.

I remember Tony Dorsett’s first NFL rushing attempt. He went right for a few yards and was totally lit up by Lambert. Dorsett jumped up proud as a peacock. Then he passed out.

Bradshaw to Stallworth for 73 yds in Super Bowl XIV. Jumped up and knocked a whole tray of food on the floor.
