It wasn't that the accusations turned out to be unfounded, which implies that they were false. We don't really know what happened. Not having enough evidence to charge him isn't the same thing as proving his innocence.

Maybe just a random thing because of Ben’s retirement.

In 2017 the sheriff said in an interview that he absolutely believes he made the right decision and if it went to court that Ben would have been found not guilty.

He said we prosecute crimes, not morals. Said Ben needs to grow up. That tells me Ben just behaved badly but didn’t actually commit a crime.

So, he’s not a rapist, just immoral.

Fine, he can stay out of jail and out of my house.

I haven’t invited Ray Lewis for tea and crumpets either.

None of this contradicts what I wrote. Just because they didn't have enough evidence to convict him of rape doesn't mean he didn't rape her. It is absolutely wrong to assume he was innocent just because they didn't have enough evidence to convict.

Ben was suspended for the first 4 games of the 2010 season which he lead the Steelers to the super bowl against the Packers and lost. 2008 was the win against the Cardinals.

Didn’t have enough evidence to convict (that is not a correct statement). There wasn’t enough evidence to charge him with a crime. The girls in Georgia when interviewed by the cops had different stories of what happened that night (which means they were lying). No one knows what really happened except the girl and Ben. Not trying to say Ben is a saint but there is a difference between being accused, being charged and being convicted

The Lake Tahoe girl happened before the Georgia incident. But the Lake Tahoe girl didn’t come forward until a year later. It’s stupid he was suspended when he was never charged. If he was charged and awaiting trial I could understand a suspension

This was at the same time frame the NFL was being accused of being quick to suspend black players vs white players. Then magically ray rice didn’t get suspended until the video showed him knocking his girlfriend out cold and dragging her out of the elevator. Yet it only took a woman an allegation and no charges to get Ben suspended. The NFL could not stop making bad decisions for a while around that time frame

Sheriff/cops file a report of the statements made by the people at the scene. They are not the people that decide if there is enough evidence to charge someone. I believe it’s a district attorney or maybe a different term. It’s not the cop at the scene that decides

The true Canada offense isn’t dink and dunk. At least it wasn’t in college.

You’re right, my bad, I misspoke. It was the DA that said it.

If you really think Ben was suspended only because of those allegations then you weren't paying attention. Ben did a ton of horrible ****, most of it not reported by main stream media. If those things were released publicly, which they were, then of course the NFL was also aware of them.

Ben was a giant piece of ****. Two different allegations of sexual assault. Many claims of mistreating people in the community, particularly women. Teammates and coaches saying what a terrible teammate he was.

Ben deserved to be suspended and in my opinion doesn't deserve the praise he gets. Fine, he was a great QB, but a **** person. I'm glad he's gone. I have no respect for the man at all. In my opinion, he doesn't deserve to have retired a Steeler.

Thank you? What did we win after the 2008 Superbowl? We won nothing with Ben as our QB. That doesn't mean we would have won anything if we had traded him, we'll never know, but we sure as hell didn't with him here. But hey, we were never under 500 in the regular season, so there's that I guess...

Probably half of the NFL players are as bad or worse. Most of them wouldn’t give you five seconds of their time even if it was to congratulate them. Most would prefer to punch you in the face

Settling with someone you said you didn't abuse never sits well for me. Big Ben did it, Kobe did it. Michael Jackson did it.

I don't care how rich or poor I am ir how much BS I'd have to deal with, if I was accused of something i didn't do, I would rather put a nail threw my hand before I'd give that whatever a dime. But that's me.

I don't understand how some don't understand. If You did it , or didn't....if you take it 2 trial you prolong it. So as a player you will miss more money going 2 trial, and not playing then You will paying 2 end the stuff. These women know this.
I don't know anyone that was truly raped that would settle out of court.
Why would You??? You could send them 2 prison, and still get paid.
Being a womanizer, and being a rapist is two totally different things.
