    As a rookie pitcher, Warren Spahn was a teammate of Paul Waner in 1941.In his last year, he was a teammate of Tug McGraw in 1965. He won 363 games, and if not for serving three years in WWII, might have come close to 400 wins.

    It's sick when you see some of the stats those pitchers put up back then. 150+ innings in a game! Even the Pirates Harvey Haddix pitching 12 perfect innings could never happen today. Never mind that he lost that one in the 13th. :rolleyes:
