8-7-1 most likely won’t get the Steelers in...

The odds are just not in their favor of this happening. At least one of the teams that gets the 6 seed is worst case scenario going to finish 9-7 and most likely so will the Ravens if they can win their home games they have remaining with both the Bucs next week and Browns the last week of the season. So what it now means assuming the Steelers beat Cincy the last week of the season is now they MUST beat either the Patriots at home next week or win in New Orleans the following week or they aren’t gonna make it. And I’m sorry but a team that wins 6 games in a row and is 7-2-1 after 10 games and has a 2.5 game lead in the division with 6 games left to play absolutely cannot miss the damn playoffs. It’s sinply inexcusable and heads need to roll and players need to go should it indeed happen which there is now a good chance that it will.

Any given Sunday. Bucs could show up. Browns are balling right now. I hope Chargers win next week so they have something to play for.

2 blowout losses from the cheats and the saints and I doubt the Steelers will have much interest in the bengals game.

I guarantee 8-7-1 gets them in. Flucco and now Jackson are injured. They might beat the Bucs, but are definitely losing to the Chargers and Clowns.

How sad is it that we may be relying on the Browns to save us in the last game of the season?

as I mentioned on another thread, I just ran a not as crazy as it sounds playoff machine in which both the Steelers and Browns go 8-7-1 and both get in.

Would not want to play either the Browns or Giants right now. Both teams have created their own momentum.

And to play this out- if they go 8-7-1 which would include a 5 game losing streak, then- really?...

Somebody is going to win the AFCN. The Ravens, I swear to heaven are an 8-8 team. So 8-7-1 will win the division, the tie in Cle saves the playoffs.

That would be fitting wouldn’t it? The coach who some fans gets excited about never having a losing season, goes 8-7-1, and backs into the playoffs.

Imagine playing browns in the afc championship game and losing to them?

Sounds like this season epic finale.

    Stay tuned lol

The Steelers need to go 2-1 they have to win one of these next two games and get to 9 wins. The odds of the Ravens winning both the Bucs and Browns games at home are very good and you can’t risk just winning 1 game out of the next 3 and expect to get in at 8 wins I don’t see it happening I’m sorry I just don’t.

If the Browns somehow win out and finish 8-7-1 and the Ravens go 8-8 and the Steelers only beat the Bengals and go 8-7-1 they would both have the same division record at 4-1-1 but I think the Steelers would still win the tiebreaker because they beat the Browns head to head in their other meeting here at Heinz Field. I just wanted to be clear on that and I can’t believe I am even sitting here discussing this scenario as an even remote possibility.
