people bash tomlin saying he went to the SB with cowhers players well guess what a lot of players on the 95 team were from nolls team. cowher did it years after taking over when players didnt jump ship as much as they do now tomlin did it 2 years not much different.

I see 10-6 or 9-7 at the worst Harrison gone big deal he had 6 sacks, Worilds had 5 off the bench. We need to have a great draft to get back into the playoffs.

6-10 is possible, but Cowher had one of those as well.

    Let's be realistic here:

Cowher win %: .623, 15 Years, Super Bowl Record 1-1, Playoff Win % .571 (That includes losing in the AFC Championship game 4 times)

    Tomlin win %: .656, 6 Years, Super Bowl Record 1-1, Playoff Win % .625

I loved Cowher, but it is revisionist history to think he would "fix every flaw" the team had. Even good coaches have down years. Bill had 3 in a row where we didn't smell the playoffs.

Beat me to it. I was about to say "6-10 didn't get Cowher fired."

I'm nostalgic for the Chin. But that's not going to happen, So forget about it. And even if by some miracle it all shook out that way, we still wouldn't be the same type of Cowher team. Goodell has destroyed that kind of attitude.

If we are in transition, GOOD! we NEED to be. This team got soft, slow, and stagnant. We need fresh blood. We need hungrier players. And Tomlin needs to put his stamp on this team for once, instead of trying to hang on for dear life to the status quo. I understood when he didn't want to upturn the ship as he took over. But dude, it's YOUR team now.

And not every rebuilding phase has to take 5-6 years. Does Ben have 3 years left at peak? even if he declines a bit, does he have 5-6 years left? There's time. A little pain this year might be just what the doctor ordered.

Don't do it! The water is frozen this time of year.

That's because for the most part they've been winning. If it's not broke you don't fix it. Now it's broke so we'll see if he can fix it.

Losing JH isnt going to make us have a losing season. We did just fine without him the first half of the season. IMO JH did it to himself, the greed got the best of him. He hasnt been the same guy since he got the fines and the suspension. We'll miss him but we survived JL, JG, KG, JP, and other countless guys leaving. I dont know who the next great LB is, but the Steelers are a LB factory, it ll happen.

And Wallace? Give me a break.
