the interesting scenario was a trade suggestion of Big Ben.
Im not an advocate of trading Ben even though there have been and will continue to be intellectual reasonings of why we should.

what really caught my eye was the Mariotta mention. He is what I believe to be a good coachable student of the game as well as just an awesome QB. He has a great arm, and can leggit when needed.
I'd love for us to be able to nab him, but not at the expense of a Ben trade, although I don't think it would be an end of the world ordeal. My only concern would lie in bringing him here behind such a porous O line and ruining him before he was mentally ready to shine.

if we keep playing the way we are, no trade may be needed but I'm not all that sold on him declaring for the draft after this season anyhow. I'd love him to stick it out at O for another year, but if he leads the Ducks to a title an gets the Heismann than he may well give into the ensuing pressure.

but dang he'd set us up for another decade just based off of what he's capable of becoming I think.
