54 yard FG at Heinz Field

    The ODU kicker just made a 54 yarder at Heinz. I don't recall, but that has to push the longest there, no?

    Ok here is what I found...

    Pat McAfee kicked a 51 yard FG for W.V.in a game against Pitt in Sept.2010..

    J.Reed kicked a 52 yard FG against Atl. also in Sept. 2010...

    So Id say the 54 yarder kicked tonight is a record!!

    Yeah I knew that Jeff Reed had the longest in Heinz history with the 52. The thing about that record though is I think most of the ones that have been tried from that far have been from the open end of the stadium and apparently it's harder to hit long ones from that way. So maybe he kicked it the other way. Seems like I heard it explained that way once.
