    I Like some of this.
If everyone liked the same exact music. We would only need a couple bands in the world.

I listen to a lot of heavy, more underground music. For Yob and Converge, those 2 records are good starting points for both bands.

Love, love the Dirt album by AIC. Probably my 5.5 lol

I have 3 of Wardruna's albums and I just love the music and Einar Selvik has some good vocals. Just the varied instrumentation is worth the listen. But I love the primal, shamanic type music. Their videos are badazz too imo

Layne Staley is the GOAT. 2nd ever concert was AIC opening for Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth.....and AIC won THAT crowd over.

I discovered Wardruna through a vinyl video blog last year where Chelsea Wolfe (also amazing, btw) was talking about the trilogy albums. So I gave those 3 records a deep dive and loved them! The 1st 2 I loved the most. they have a more raw production which I think works better for what they are doing. I know they've put some other stuff out I need to hear also. But yea, its great! And like nothing else i've heard before.

Ok . I've heard them. Just didn't recognize the name.
Have you listened 2 Tergo Lupi???
That's who I've been listening 2...in the same type of vein.
Matter of fact been trying 2 work some of that feeling in my own stuff.
Not so successful. Haven't been listening 2 it long.

Not in my top five, but I like these guys a lot. And it is somewhat Steelers related with the drummer rockin' the old school Lambert jersey!

There's an album my brother used to have and I can't seem to find it (though, I haven't looked lately) Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention live at the Fillmore East.
edit: just found it on Amazon. Ain't the interweb grand?

it seems like you are a guitar enthusiast and I love that, so have you ever checked out a movie called "You See Me Laughing"? Its about Fat Possum records (the label that really turned me on to the Black Keys before they turned mainstream with Modest Mouse producers but alas that's another story lol). The movie doesn't mention the Black Keys but really focuses on some of the Southern artists like Asie Payton, R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough and T-Model Ford. Dives deep into the blues. I loved it and instantly became a fan of Payton and Burnside. You should check it out if you can...
