Just announced that Steelers only got 1 pick in the 4th round. Guess better than a 5th or 6th round comp pick.

Think you might get your wish with the way they are approaching FA.

This was well flagged that it would only be a fourth. They need it, they traded their original fourth away for Loudermilk in 2021, looks like a decent bit of business now in fairness but it still leaves them without that pick

They really need a good draft this year. They have no depth anywhere

Colbert has done a great job setting things up. You know how much I like Willis but I’m more willing to see what defense has to offer at #20 now.

No wonder the Steelers are signing soo many FAs.
They only have 4 picks in the draft in rounds 1 through 6.

I kind of like Willis more than Trubisky. LoL
    I know I'm wishy-washy.
I hope Trubisky is better than I think.
This time I really want 2 be wrong about a Qb. Hahahaha. My Chicago land relatives are giving Me hell right now.
They are like You gave us Kordell, and Now you get Trubisky. LoL.
Dang I hope they are wrong.

Cowherd had a pretty decent bit on Mitchell today. Tracking the first 4 years he has better of equal stats to Baker, Tannehill, Andy Dalton and Derrick Carr. He had a couple of other comparisons. Not top flight, but considering who he played for and the talent around him I actually was quite surprised. I still think he is stop gap, but also the team is better today than it was yesterday.

Well, I’m just going by what the Steelers are supposedly trying to do now, win with a ground attack and stifling defense. Cowher footballs back!

I’m going to give Trubisky a chance before writing him off. They are trying to set it up so they don’t need to ask him to win games by himself. If they can do that, Trubisky may flourish in that system. Told you wouldn’t take long for my black and gold glasses to take effect :towel:

I am actually happy about Trubisky. Sometimes when a QB sits for a year he sees the game slow down and learns a few things. The offense is shifting to running the ball, RPO, and play action. Friermuth will improve if he doesn't take head shots. The passing routes will be run deeper. If they get a burner that that can catch the ball, I like the potential of the offense.

Hope You are correct. Just find it funny that Trubisky air yards are lower per completion then even Ben's last year...yet somehow now Trubisky will air it out.

Lost a third round pick because Haeg played 26% of our snaps.

It's His average air yards by completion His entire freaking career.
How dumb do You think I am by going by playing backup last year??? I'm measuring that By Ben's terrible air yards last year.
Remember I said per completion not attempts. Who care about attempts.
    Please Think.

You don’t think they will still be running what they were with Ben last season do you? Ben had the lowest adot in the league.

You can’t compare different offenses, especially one as inept as Nagy ran. Ben didn’t always have such a low adot, just the last 2 years when his play fell off a cliff, so it’s not surprising Bens is higher. I’m sure the playbook will be opened up this season.

The pick was expected. Any additional picks are good ones at this point.

One each in the first four rounds, no picks in rounds 5&6 and two in the 7th.

If there be was ever a year to trade back in the first round it’s this year. Pick up an extra third or fourth and start filling out the roster depth, ILB, OLB, CB, WR, SS, DLine are all needed

Even if the make more FA moves they still need quality depth

I thought they got a 6th from Kansas City for Ingram.
