So's my brother! I still remember watching that game! My family were all Raiders or Charger fans. I got the last laugh!

Since I'm the youngest, I had to sit quietly and smile smugly!

That was the season that I saw the light and realized the Chargers would never amount to anything. That's when I jumped to the Steelers bandwagon!

The Count of the French Riveria, What a day that was,we had arrived. I miss those days/personalities.As a kid growing up, it couldn't get much better knowing that your local football team was going to be dominating the the NFL for years to come LOL I love it.

I'm showing my age. I was there. The hit was right in front of where I sat.

    How many others were there?

Young enough to have fun, old enough to know better. :sneak:

Hey, it was the 70's. People still did that.

The other day this fantasy noob told me that Beckham's catch a few years ago was the "greatest catch ever" or something like that. I was like "Uh...you have obviously never heard of the Immaculate Reception". Even physicists have a hard time explaining it! The second best would then be Santonio's in Super Bowl 43. Both are historic to say the least.

Not to take away from Beckham but there have been a lot of "greatest catch ever"s. Besides the two you mentioned, Swann's sideline grab in a SB comes to mind.

Nope. I was 6 1/2 years old and somewhat recall a huge uproar throughout the entire city. It was a feeling that something definitely changed at that moment. Even though they didn't win the SB it just felt that from then on that our team was going to be a force in the NFL. And we still are!:herewego!:

That was actually the one I put in 3rd place when talking about greatest catches. That looked physically impossible! Not to mention the fact that he did it with a concussion!
