Apple scares me after watching some tape on him. He is a very poor tackler at this time. He also may be the easiest defender to block that I've ever seen. Dri Archer could stone him 10 out of 10 times. Sure, coaching can help him tackle and get off blocks better, but if a guy is shy about contact all the coaching in the world won't matter. He is pretty solid in coverage, so all is not lost. However no way should he get a 1st round grade IMO.

I really like what I've seen of Thompson so far. I feel pretty sure that he will be a quality NFL safety. I may even be ok with him in the 1st.

No idea on the other two.

as a buckeye fan I've seen plenty of Apple. He can cover really well and can cover all different types of WR's. He's just shy about contact and it's pretty obvious. He has poor technique and doesn't seem to like sticking his nose in there to make a hit. That part scares me, but the kid can definitely cover well enough to be a quality NFL corner. He shouldn't get a first round grade, but I think he can play.

I'm all honesty I don't really care for any of the corners early. Fuller is meh, Apple has his problems, Hargreaves and Ramsay are good but I doubt they last to us. I don't like the options at CB that we would have available to us at 25. We can find a guy in round 2-3 that won't be much different in terms of skill IMO.

I have looked at a few mocks and this one is the first that has up taking Scobby Wright. I like him a lot and if he lasts to the 4th that would be great. In most mocks I have seen has him in the 2nd and even one had him in the 1st, for what that's worth. Apple, Thompson, Garnett and Wright wouldn't upset me none.......

Agree on Apple, he seems to be the Steelers mock draft flavor of the month. I wouldn't draft him in the first. His inability to get away from blocks reminds me of that CB from Utah a couple years ago, Keith McGill.

Really don't think Garnett would last to our pick late in the third, but if he did that would be great.

Not a person on there that will make it out of the second round. But it would be a great haul.

I like the first 3 picks, never heard of Tapper though.
