3rd QB - JASON BEAN

This will fill out our QB room. Bean is a QB from Kansas U, and was clocked last year with the fastest miles per hour play in college football.

Wilson, Fields, Bean…make the pick, Omar.

 

Is he a running QB? IMO the Steelers still don't have a QB to compete with the best in AFC. I'm hoping we find a future steady QB in the draft.

 

Wilson Bean Fields sounds like our QB room would be a gas.

 

Not that it really matters, just interesting that he is nearly the same age as Picket and Fields. Has the essential athlete ability and is definitely worth a 3rd day look.

 

By steady, do you mean franchise? That QB may be in elementary school right now.

 

Bean is another one of those QB's that played 6 years in college and is 24 years old. He is lightning fast for a QB though having run a 4.36 forty and a 10.6 100 meter. Some drafts have him rated as a 7th rounder and some as an UDFA. It has been mentioned because of his good size, 6'3" 210, and blazing speed that an NFL team might switch him to WR.

 

would not be the worst thing to happen, early slash, Hines, Randal El, late round pick..you never know what magic will appear.

 

It would certainly be an explosive quarterback room.

There are probably very few of us on here who remember Orson Bean from "To Tell The Truth".

He actually turned up in an episode of 2 1/2 Men. He was some rich guy Evelyn Harper was after. Of course he was hilarious.

 

This obsession with running quarterbacks is dumb. A QB first must be a good quarterback.

I think this is Tomlin’s influence. Now that Ben is long gone we are witnessing the skill and deftness of Tomlin in handling the Qb room.
