Just to keep things in perspective. We'd have been a field goal down without the pick 6s.

Not excusing the defense, but those make a big difference.

It's those other 37 that I worry about. Of course with the way GBs qbs looked someone will grab one of them before Dobbs.:smiley1::cool:

I agree Mac. Kinda of like If my Aunt had Balls, she'd be my Uncle. I worry about the other 37 more too

And without Ben 5 ints against the Jags in the regular season, the Steelers probably win that game.

It's preseason. The score never concerns me. What concerns me is how we play. The tackling on this team has me concerned. The miscommunication on defense concerns me.

Good point. The defense is saving things like tackling and containment for the regular season, like they did last year.o_O

Packers had a lot of their #1's (Rodgers included) for most of the 1st half. Steelers had none of their soon-to-be rusty Bs. With that said, yeah... the D sucks.

    Positives: Washington, Conner, James

Other than constantly losing by fewer points?

I thought a lot of our starters on D didn’t even dress for the game?

I didn’t get to watch last night so I’m sincerely asking.

No most of the starting defensive players started.

No just putting things in perspective. The most points ever scored on the Steelers in preseason doesn't fall squarely on the defense, although one might assume that at face value.

Well, regardless, the D was a sieve. A loss? Don't care. Meaningless, obviously. But when we put our #1s out on D there, they were just lost.

Can't argue with that at all. I think part of the problem is that they are still trying to figure out who the first defense is going to be, especially at ILB.

Wait another year or two, the NFL will allow two "do overs" per game. I am sure there are a few posters who would like that. The NFL is intent on diluting NFL football to two-hand tag. Tomlin plays down football in shorts. Well look at the uniform, it is football in shorts all the time since they did away with knee pads. I can't wait to see what these new football leagues will provide as football. They should provide UFC style of football! ;) There is plenty of talent to make it interesting. The old AFL prove it.
