I’m relatively new to the board, and what it tells me is some members are obsessed with Benny and what he does. ;)

No, Robert Griffin III started that game for the Ravens and he was replaced late by Trace McSorley.

Bettors are starting to take us more seriously now.

So when are we getting permission from the NFL to print playoff tickets? LOL.

No problem. The Ravens have given the Steelers a game with backup quarterbacks a few times, but I believe the only time they have faced Huntley was the final game of 2021. His style is similar to Jackson's, but he doesn't have as strong of an arm and he isn't as fast.

Maybe, but the Steelers' offense still isn't putting up many points and Watt has been a big part of the reason they do so well against Jackson, and he's not close to 100 percent.

Likely the effects of the layoff. He’s gassed. His body is not where it usually is.

That may be part of it, but I think it is weakness in the arm where he tore his pec. He is normally great at using his hands to shed blockers, but I don't see him doing that much right now. Tuitt had the same problem with the same injury a few years back.

He is still using his speed and agility well, but he's just not beating blockers like he normally does.

But But Lamar is the next great thing :roflmao:They need to unload the brinks truck for such a talent!

If the Steelers don't beat themselves they can compete. The worry is the corners and ILBers.

The crows have a solid running attack even without the chosen one.

Watt still needs to be accounted for but unfortunately is not close to being healthy.

O'Canada keeping down his trickster plays and staying with what is working a solid running attack. Pickens needs to be involved unlike last week.

I don't think it matters who is or isn't playing in this game. Hate rules, as it has in the past. This is one of those games where you tighten up the chin straps and get down to business for 60 minutes and the team who wants it most wins. We're a 2 pt favorite at home so that tells me all I need to know. Just hope we play like we need to. JMO>

While they did give up 28 to Jacksonville a couple of weeks ago, three of their last four opponents have scored 13 or less. Granted, all were subpar offenses: Saints, Panthers, Broncos, but the Ravens are tenth in points allowed on the year.

What will be interesting to see is how our resurgent running game fares against the front seven of Baltimore, who is second only to the Niners in rushing yards allowed/game (25th against the pass).

'Resurgent' has certainly seen a resurgence in usage on the board today. 'Resurgence', if I'm not mistaken, has been resurgent as well.

    A note for the stats.
While Baltimore has given up the fewest rushing yards, they given up 236 points (~20/game) around mid-pack.
They are giving up points as you point to subpar Offenses.
The Steelers aren't anything special but have been thriving on a pretty solid ground game which will test the Ravens stats.

Quite a few people mention that the Ravens are actually better on offense with Tyler Huntley.
Tyler is a much better passer and can scramble. He just doesn't have the big play capability that Lamar does which offsets his average passing (21st among passers)
If he can run for 100 yards, that's a hundred yards he doesn't have to pass for and that keeps him in competition with the adjusted rating.

    This is no slam-dunk.
Pittsburgh is a puzzle dumped in the table. They have a lot of pieces and a few of them are in place or close to.
    They also have missing pieces.
Canada will have to have a good attack plan to go after the Ravens LB's in the run phase and go after that weak secondary by forcing them into single with the run threat.
Baltimore isn't much of a sack threat other that Houston. I like Roquan Smith, but he has underperformed there. I am hoping this isn't the game for him to get it together.

Baltimore is team headed the wrong way as opposed to Cincinatti. The win over Denver was disgusting and the loss to the Jags in horrible fashion was just downright pathetic.
They need a win big time, else the Bengals (who seem to be getting hot) will pass them right by.

The Steelers offense has to put up TD's (finish drives) whether it is by passing or running and that run porous defense has to find ways to plug up the ground game.
I'm sort of 50-50 on this one.

This is likely optimistic. If TJ is out which looks like he could be I don't hold much hope for a win

I feel like his rib issues is hurting his ability more than his arm. He was wincing alot and grabbing at his ribs last game. Apparently he did not practice Thurs. He might not play.. Lets see

Not to split hairs, but the Ravens are 10th in points allowed; mid-pack would be 16th. So they're in the top third of the league. And they didn't surrender many points to those subpar offenses - 13 was the most, and that was against the Saints, who average over 20 per game. The Broncos scored 9 (averaging just under 14), and the Panthers 3 (19).

It's also worth noting that while they've shown some improvement offensively of late, the Steelers rank above only the Broncos from that group in points scored - Denver is the worst in the league; Steelers are 28th - averaging ~18 per game. None of this is to say the Steelers won't be productive Sunday - I personally think it will be a good matchup - just that I wouldn't exactly say that the Ravens have been 'bleeding' points.
