6 of our SB wins were by QB's drafted in the 1st round.

Not much to chew on, most of those QBS were second round picks
Isnt it the truth our first round QBs got it done and may get another ring this year from our present 1st round QB, blast is just trying to pimp his boy Dobbs by finding stuff that says drafting late is where all the top QBs are........

Just giving hope to those who believe only first Rd QBs win SBs.

Diamond is just worried Dobbs will push his boy Landry out the door ;)

I have no idea how well or not, Dobbs will do, I think he has the skills to be successful. I just found this article interesting.

And Diamond was wrong, 12 of the 15 QBs were taken 3rd rd or later.

...and further, 50% of Steeler SB loses were by non-first round QB's!

...and speaking of he whose name shall not be spoken: "_________ ended his career with the lowest interception percentage in NFL history, averaging just 2.11 interceptions for every 100 pass attempts, although this statistic is somewhat diminished by the costly ones he threw in Super Bowl XXX."

27 of 51 SBs have been won by a QB drafted in the first round.

Better odds, but not a given.

Don't forget to subtract out the SB's won by a QB outside of the 1st round that cheated.

I'm just gonna throw a round out there and ask how many have been won by qb's taken in this specific round....um...Iiiii'm gonna saaaay....theeeeee.....fourth round??? I just pulled that number off the top of my head really. So Joe Theisman makes one? 1 out of 51 aint bad. As Meatloaf famously said.

So, you think the 4th rd is a jinx? Because there are QBs drafted after that have won the SB, too.

While we're at it, how many 1st rd QB's have been a bust? That has to be a big list. Half of them on the Browns.

Honestly I'd say most qb's that have ever been drafted at all haven't worked out. For every NFL era there have only been a handful of qb's that have been considered elite and who always had their teams in position to win.

Sucks so bad too. So many great players and a great coach with a really innovative system but could just never get it done when it mattered most. I don't know if there's a team in the league that has suffered as much as the Bills' fans have. They are almost like my Cubbies of the NFL or something. Maybe someday they'll finally get it done. Although hopefully not at our expense.

I don't know... at least Bills fans can say "we had the best team to never win a Super Bowl." All Browns fans can do is say "remember the 60's" or "we could've been great, but Byner fumbled." All Bengals fans can say is "we're usually one of the most talented teams in the league - on paper." Those fans have probably suffered more than Bills fans, and their bitter tears taste like sweet nectar.

Yeah I have actual sympathy for the Bills but only sweet disdain for the bungles.
