Let's hope it goes better then HOF game
Wow, I didn't know every pass Bettis threw for a completion went for a touchdown.
I remember them saying that the last time He threw a Td(that I can remember), but I didn't know it stayed that way. When that Man ran the ball ....everyone bit down.
Panicked for a moment. I like to start SPP when we hit 30 days to go. For some reason I thought Bus was #32. I still have until Larry Anderson before I have to start it.
John Henry Johnson was part of the 49ers "Million dollar backfield" along with Joe Perry, Hugh McElhenny and YA Tittle at QB. All four made the HOF.
I knew about Ham kidding Russell about be called for a delay of game but this is the first that I heard Ray Mansfield quip about NBC cutting to a commercial and when they came back on the air Russell was still running with the ball. Hilarious stuff.
Very underated lb by national media, us locals knew how good he was. Played on a lot of ****ty teams, fortunately he got to the dynasty years.
It may have been Joe Greene who said he had to block the same guy 3 times
Love the avatar JEH - those guys were great - takes me way back to watching Sesame Street and then Sha Na Na with my daughters before color TVs I think.
And Alf was in there somewhere in the program lineup.
Lol at this thread title for today.
In honor of John "Frenchy" Fuqua, who ran the first leg of the Immaculate Reception:
Getting in tune for the NFL and am reading all the predictions for season. The one that really stood out was seeing Najee Harris with some predicting NFL top 3 rusher getting 1600+ yards. Has the O-line improved that much??
I think the predictors realize we may have a QB situation and will be handing the ball off until Najee's legs give out.
I've looked at about 10 sites and best I could come up for was 8 wins for our boys.
If these predictions for season would have come true in the past the Steelers would be sitting on 11 Super Bowls.
Yes!! Just fast forwarded my Comcast TV guide and Saturday night on NFL Network they got the Steelers. Usually don't care to much for first pre-season game but this QB situation got me pumped for Saturday.
I did the same, and already have it set up. Although I'm always excited....even for Preseason.
The count of the French Riviera #33 what a character and good football player.
I'll tell you what is BS, to watch Sesame Street you have to pay for HBO. I hope to hell Mr. Snuffleupagus and Oscar kick somebody's butt over this.
Franco surpassed Joe Greene as my favorite player in the mid-70s.
2 days until the 5th annual Steeler prediction Poll goes up. I just do it for something to goof with but this season I'm really interested to see what the knowledgeable among us predict.
They haven’t been in for a while
I missed it by a freaking tied game.
Franco's Italian Army, Yea.
