Well... New England has both the money and the QB to do it. Pittsburgh doesn't. Good on New England but they seriously need to nab a Tackle in the draft and move Will Campbell to Guard. People keep harping on his arm length but that alone isn't what kept getting him beat in the playoffs.

Will Campbell has great pass protection setups but he is only so so in terms of his functional strength and play strength. Given how the likes of DeMarcus Lawrence, Uchenna Nwosu, Boye Mafe and most of all in Derrick Hall all are either adept or proficient in converting speed to power, even if Campbell's recovery speed was great (was good but not great coming out of LSU), he still was going to have some serious trouble. The Super Bowl was supposedly the game in which Campbell was exposed but truthfully, he was exposed in Week 2 against both T.J. Watt and Nick Herbig; particularly Nick.

Nick put belt to ass that day.

Yep. Campbell was horrific in the playoffs. Couldn't believe how badly he was getting bull-rushed into the QB.

A later pick for Casey out of Boise would be a good development project for the new coaching staff.

Can't wait for the Pittsburgh Steeler front office, 8th most cap space in the NFL, to start signing basement, borderline staring fringe players in free agency while the other 9 teams in the top 10 of available cap space sign all the legitimate starters, pro bowlers, etc. Remember, this is the SAME team that had no WR after DJ Metcalf, no CB after Joey Porter JR., no legitimate LT, and STILL had roughly $25-$33 million in salary-cap space AFTER the 2025 free-agency period and offseason signings. P.A.T.H.E.T.I.C.

You forgot to mention the Steelers haven't won a playoff game in 9 years.

I think Chicago could be scary this year. Williams should take another big step forward this season and if they improve the defense at all, will he a tough team to beat.

Rams should still be the Rams as long as Stafford Continue to play at a high level, hasn’t shown any decline so far. Plus just added McDuffie to the defense.

Seattle like you said will depend on what happens to Darnold without Kubiak.

Those are my top 3 in the NFC.

This reminds me of the guy that wins the lottery and blows all his money in the first year. Have you looked at the FA pool for the positions the Steelers need? Overspending for mediocre is what turns a team into the NYJ or Browns.

My in-laws are huuuge Bears fans so I have one eye on them during the season. Not sure what to make of Williams. He made a bunch of clutch plays this year but he also put them in bad spots by missing completions. That run game also helped him a lot. But Johnson's done a fine job in Yr1.

Williams will make unbelievable throws at crunch time and on the run, but he will also have a wide receiver that has five yards of separation for a first down and throw the ball ten feet over his head instead of converting the first down. It has to be strange and infuriating to watch if you're a Bear's fan.

Until he can figure out a way to convert all the gimme throws and perform the routine, he isn't going to be a great quarterback. Ben Johnson's mind and offensive system is fantastic, and Williams' physical talents aren't in question. He still needs to develop more and get better mentally as well.

I think he has all the tools and the mental makeup to be a top QB in the league. I saw how much Ben Johnson means to him during a post game celebration when he gave Johnson a game ball. I think Johnson will make a star out of him.

IMO Williams’s and Maye will be among Mahomes and Allen when talking about the best in the league.

Last year they weren't looking to make any big signings because they to get those comp picks for 2026, that won't be the case this year they won't be just signing bargain basement players.

A lot to like with Caleb Williams. His play reminds me of Baker Mayfield early on. Have to wait and see if he develops quicker.

Bringing back Samuel was high on my list for Omar.
It is not to be considered a 'splash' signing, just a solid signing with a good value.
As I mentioned, you do not have to go crazy in this market, just pick up some solid working parts.
Washington is out there with $90mil free space (wow) and a lot of needs.. we don't need to get into a bidding war.

Me, I have a hit list.
Alec Pierce would be a big move and fill a need at WR. He's 26, 6'3" and 215 and has very good speed.
I don't want to see some 31/32 bargain basement deals at WR and Omar does need to find at least 1 WR that can play in Free Agency.. I think that is a must.
There are a couple good buys that are not as splashy, that I would think fill the bill... since we have nothing at QB, that is the route I most expect.

OT Rasheed Walker might be a move I would make. Green Bay and Penn State ties are there. He's done pretty well.

We are losing Cole Holcomb, no real loss there but Quay Walker (26) could be an interesting fit at a decent price maybe. I don't want to become Green Bay south though.

Whew. Cole Holcomb will be back.

Glad we didn't have to sweat that out all day.

Feels like an overpay for me. And I get that is the case with many early free agents, just don't see Pierce as that guy.

Well.... Alec Pierce is an overpay.... give credit where credit due; Omar did the right thing.
Romeo Doubs is available.. probably for a fair price. (and a WR)

Bringing back Cole Holcomb? 2yr/$5mil.... I was looking at an upgrade.... Omar stands pat. Have to wait and see what FA and draft brings

Kenneth Walker to the Chiefs. Be interested to see the cost. He just doesn't feel like a big game changer for me. (funny take coming off SB MVP I know)
