Yeah, I agree with the thing about Cam Johnson. I meant to post that in my other post about Roman.

Cameron was kicking some serious punts today.

Harvin just killed us in field position last season, it would be nice to have a punter than can flip the field in our favor for once.

I think Van Jefferson will be WR#2.

It's crazy how each person at the camps report things totally different. One guys says how great someone looks, and then I listen to another say how bad.
Just because I don't believe Justin Fields will ever be good....doesn't mean I don't want him to be great. If he can become great it would solve a lot of problems for the Steelers, make us better, and that's all I want. It's just that from watching him in Chicago....it's a big ask.

Najee is an excellent receiver out of the backfield go back to his first 2 seasons and see all the catches that he made.
Matt Canada was in over his head for the NFL and our offense showed it.

"Glimpses of greatness followed by moments of inconsistency". That is Fields career in a nutshell. On the positive side the fact that Jackson, Elliott and Beanie Bishop have shined so far in camp is great news to hear about the secondary. Plus Calvin Austin 3 looking good and Roman Wilson excelling in practice is a good sign for a WR corp with a lot of questions.

Noah was throwing put some high praise for FB Jack Collette today after 4 days at camp. It is only in-shorts but he has looked really good being a lead blocker, and Najee has looked even better running behind him.

Jack Colletto spent last preseason on the 49ers learning how to be a FB, and then made his way to the Steelers during the season. The 49ers, not a bad place to learn how to be a FB, and a good lead blocker.

    San Francisco 49ers
Colletto was signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2023. He was waived on August 29, 2023, and re-signed to the practice squad. He was released on October 4.

    Pittsburgh Steelers
On October 9, 2023, Colletto was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad

Meh. His numbers are padded by volume. His yds/rec were near the bottom of the NFL for all RBs. There is a reason why Warren was seeing increased targets at the expense of Harris.

Funny, Steelers went 40-26-1 with him as a Coach on our team. 12-4 when the QB Coach. That is what is called winning in spite of a terrible OC.
