Stumbled on this the other day. It's a re-draft of last years first round, knowing what we do now.

They're using the butterfly effect in assuming Frazier doesn't make it to the Steelers at 2.52, and since they think he's a great fit here, they make him their first round choice (same thought behind the Packers taking Cooper at 1.25).

So, given the revised picks through 1.19, who would YOU take at 1.20?

1.1 Bears: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
1.2 Commanders: Caleb Williams, QB, LSU
1.3 Patriots: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
1.4 Cardinals: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
1.5 Chargers: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State
1.6 Giants: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU
1.7 Titans: Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
1.8 Falcons: Michael Penix, Jr., QB, Washington
1.9 Bears: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
1.10 Vikings: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa
1.11 Jets: JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan
1.12 Broncos: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
1.13 Raiders: Marvin Harrison, Jr., WR, Ohio State
1.14 Saints: Ola Fashanu, OT, Penn State
1.15 Colts: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
1.16 Seahawks: JC Latham, OT, Alabama

1.17 Vikings: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
1.18 Bengals: Talese Guaga, OT, Oregon State
1.19 Rams: Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State
1.20 Steelers: Zach Frazier, C, West Virginia
1.21 49ers: Dominick Puni, OG, Kansas
1.22 Eagles: Andru Phillips, CB, Kentucky
1.23 Jaguars: Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia
1.24 Lions: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA
1.25 Packers: Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M
1.26 Buccaneers: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama
1.27 Cardinals: Braden Fiske, DL, Florida State
1.28 Chiefs: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas
1.29 Cowboys: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia
1.30 Ravens: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
1.31 49ers: Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida
1.32 Panthers: Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State

Mine would be McConkey. Always liked him, but knew he would be gone before the Steelers second round pick, and was too much of a reach with their first. Now, after a 82/1149/7 rookie campaign, I'll make the reach.

It also frees up a third in the event Frazier doesn't make it to them in the second. But given Barton has now fallen out of the first, I think it a good chance he does.

Runners up: Andru Phillips, Amarius Mims

Zach Frazier was the correct pick there no matter how you look at it. We have our C for years now.

But we got Frazier in the next round. Maybe I don't understand what is happening with this. Most likely explanation.

Are you saying... if we re-drafted the 2024 draft, you would take our 2nd round pick in the 1st round instead?

I think it goes on the basis that of the 2024 Draft being done again today, knowing what we now know about the players.

Frazier would be a good pick in the first round.

I don't see our original 1st round pick being drafted at all in the 1st round. Are they saying Troy Fautanu should not have been drafted at all in the 1st round?

Granted... Troy is no CB Quinyon Mitchell, but I didn't see anything I did not like from what I saw of Troy before the injury. I still believe the Steelers missed out on taking the top CB in the draft last year.

Going off of the 'knowing what we know now' premise, he was on IR all season. Probably does drop him a round or 2.

I think I might trade the next 3 firsts to move up and get Jayden Daniels.

Not necessarily. They're just using hindsight to reassign players, and in some instances, team need. JJ McCarthy is a good example. They re-drafted DeJean to the Vikings because no one thought McCarthy would suffer a season-ending injury leading to Darnold having the season he did. Of course, being that McCarthy was the last first-round caliber player at QB, they still had him re-drafted in the first. With Fautanu, the writer either assigned other tackles who had strong first years to the teams needing one, or he went with a different position of need.

I think they meant that the two CBs, either one I would've chose, De Jean and the kid from Toledo, were off the board on this redraft and the most valuable player left from the bunch in the redraft, was the guy we actually picked in the 2 ND. Shows how much of a steal the second round was for us and what a bust the first round was,(so far)

They're saying Frazier had such a good first year with the Steelers that in all likelihood he doesn't make it to them in R2, so they should take him in the first. It's a fair point.

I pretty much went with McConkey just to have some fun with it based upon our need for a WR2, and gambling that one of Barton or JPJ would fall to 2.51.

IMO holding middle of the road is killing our drafts..I say we target and move up or just trade back stop picking BPA where we end up in round #1 ..Oh and dont move up for a LB ....

The last 2 times the Steelers have made a significant move up in the 1st round it was for Broderick Jones at #14 and Devin Bush at #10.

These 2 moves did not work out. This year, I am hoping to see the Steelers move down, as the combo of Khan and Tomlin have been sucking Ass at their 1st round picks so far.

I'd say the jury is still out on Jones. And Khan had nothing to do with Bush. You can't fault him for Fautanu until he hits the field, or proves he never will.

I don't think it's prudent to bet on the latter yet.

I had the likes of Jackson Powers Johnson, Zach Frazier and Graham Barton all going in Round One. This redraft doesn't surprise me in the slightest. The only thing that does surprise me is Jackson Powers Johnson's Rookie season had a lot more ups than downs than I thought it would.

Zach performed as well, if not better, than I could have hoped him to. For that matter, had it not been Troy Fautanu, I would have hoped that the Steelers would have selected Zach Frazier as the first pick given how he was the best of the three as far as Centers go.

Agree, it is do or die for Jones at LT this year.

I am still hoping for a new O-Line coach that will tell Jones every second, every minute, every day, you are practicing to be a starting LT in 2025.

I hate this redraft because it has the Titans and the Jets taking QBs.

There is no way in Hell the Jets select a QB in the 1st round with Aaron Rodgers on the roster, and the Titans were still banking on starting Levis for the 2024 season.

1.7 Titans: Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
1.11 Jets: JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan

I'd rather have Q. Mitchell, CB, Toledo, no matter how well Fautanu turns out.

Yep it seems they move up and pick desperate instead of BPA .. They hold and all the elite players are gone ..Moving back I like as well if Egbuka is off the board.. To me he should be the target in round #1 of all the mocks I look at he is the only guy I like between 16 and 32 ... So I guess i should have said I would move up to get him if need be or pick him or trade out ...

Is that because JPJ played more snaps at guard than center? Front the Steelers perspective they were looking at him more as a center, while the Raiders used him more at guard.

From a stat perspective those 13 penalties coming from Jackson Powers Johnson (956 Snaps) is a little crazy. Compared to fellow rookie Guard Mason McCormick (936 snaps) who had 2 penalties.
