Another blown save with a 2 run homer given up in 8th when Pirates led by 1 run in a seesaw game.

 

4/27 Pirates below .500.

Just putting here for a contest my family has. I said July 29th was when we fall below and stay under .500. I may lose.

 

At least the All-Star closers/setups are consistent.

 

Keep the faith. Starting pitching has been great, bats and bullpen not so good. Lets hope we can put it all together.

 

4/28 back to .500.

 

4/29 1 game under .500.

when you get to my age hope is all we got! I'm pretty sure I will never see a Pirates world series again in my life time. So I like getting my hopes up just a tad.

well we play the Rockies. 7 wins all year. If we can't beat these guys in a sweep then there truly is no hope.

 

While they were semi-sucking going into their road trip, the West Coast has rarely favored Pittsburgh sports team whether the Pirates, Steelers or Pens (or Pitt the few times they headed out that way). Why jet lag affects Pgh teams so much is a real question mark. The Pirates? "They're dead Jim".
