And Grandal was only playing because of an injury to Joey Bart. He may have been used as a PH earlier but the timing was perfecto after the bullpen coughed up another lead. The online sportswriters were blaming Sheldon for not using Chapman in the 7th but do you think that Bednar would have held them in the 8th and/or 9th? Me neither.

Pirates outright released Michael A. Taylor. I hope this means they will bring up Nick Yorke from AAA. Hitting .370 with .904 OPS. Of course I don’t think that is what he will be if they bring him up, but he is only 22 so at least he might be something.

 

Why the hell woul he use German? This guy is horrible. I'm done with Shelton

Good Keller. Bad Keller. 97 pitches in only 4 innings. Rowdy Tellez was best reliever for Bucs last night - only 1 hit and 1 run. Cubs - 21 hits, 18 runs, 8 STOLEN BASES (WTF?). Why would anyone even pay to see this? Sold out crowd Saturday and hometown HOF Ceremony and the Bucs get blown out by the equally dismal Red Legs.

 

Oh boy!!! Their moving Oneal Cruz to centerfield!! I can't wait to see the collisions with infielders and outfielders!!! LOL

That's Cutch's role if/when he returns from the 10 day IR. Maybe the change from SS will help him at the plate - he's 6 for 8 these past 2 games (7 for 12 past 3). Who knows? If they move him to RF next year (which is being speculated) he may be the only MLB player to rob someone of a HR over the Clemente Wall.
