Well I'll be. We did score. 2-1 Bucs going to top of 9th.

 

El Sucko screwed us.

 

Brutal loss. Just hard to say which direction this team is going. They feel stagnant. They're about where I'd thought they'd be, record wise, but they've left a solid 5 games on the field. One of the hardest teams to get a read on.

Here is a fun fact… the Pirates starters have the best era in mlb since june 1.
Looks like we need to go back to the old days and let starters pitch complete games!
Only way we are ever going to be 500. The bullpen and the hitting are definitely our downfalls.

 

No bullpen and 200 hitters… that is the read im getting. Starting pitching is only bright spot.

we are running out of starting pitchers. Kenes may have to pitch every day

 

Bucs hit like 96,000 for the 3 games with Mets so far.

If you build it, they will come even if you suck.

 

Skenes and Reynolds your Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star Reps. IMO it should have been Keller. Skenes is just getting his feet wet.

 

Well I'm going out on a limb and say we win today. Split with Mets. We had great chance for 3 of 4 but it's the Bucs.

4 games under .500 headed to Brewer land. 6 games before ASB.

 

He could trade off with Skenes.

It's that Catholic School training. Sister Mary Elephant would have rapped my knuckles with the pointer if I hadn't caught it. They taught us all how to be very good brown-nosers.

 

Pretty risky business feeling confident with only an 8-2 lead heading into the 9th after pulling Keller.

 

I posted that in the 7th. And yes I feared I may have screwed up.

 

Well let's see, 4 games under with 6 to play until ASB. Road games, 3 Brewers, 3 White Sox. I predicted we'd be 6 under at the break. Maybe just maybe we can win 1 in Milwaukee and 2 in Chicago?? White Sox suck worse then us so watch out for them sweeping us I'll take 3-3 happily.

Not positive but I think we were only 2-3 games under at last years ASB. We had big losing streaks after the break which killed us.

I see 3 games are 8:10 start and 3 games a 2:10 start. That Mojave Desert guy will just love that 5:10 start in his world while I struggle to stay up with game. Now I love the 2:10 but gotta be weird at 11:10. Always remember the first Steeler Super Bowl was on at 8 or 9 AM (forget) in Hawaii. Now that was strange for me.

 

That is spot on. At times I feel they could make a little noise and other times I bang my head against the wall.

 

TBD goes against Rea tonight. I'll go to bed early. Then it's Perez and Skenes.

 

Worse than TBD - I saw it is Priester. Not a good option on the road against Brewfarts. Hopefully Priester can pitch a Solemn High game.

 

Oh crap, I'll skip tonight but hope to hell we can out pitch them the next 2 games.

 

Remember this gentlemen, the Pittsburgh Pirates are hands down the best low payroll team in MLB.
