Bednar had similar reaction but was saved by the Northside Notch

I think that banning him for life was excessive. After all, he lost every bet he placed, and to add insult to injury, he played two seasons with the Pirates. He sounds sufficiently punished to me.

Damn if we don't have good starters. I'm actually thinking if Nutbag pulls the trigger and gets a few hitters next season we could be heard from. I think we have these starters for the 2025 season.

I'm not a Pete Rose fan but I think he should be in the HOF.

Also, Bluto went oafer two with a strikeout. A team that was going anywhere or wanted to go anywhere would probably have cut ties by now. He is likely holding on to a roster spot by the skin of his scrotum.

Probable PIRATES starting pitcher today: Pornstache

He never got any respect at our house because he hit Johnny Roseboro with his bat!

Had a feeling that 1 run was all they were going to get so that's why I was hoping for a rain out after 4 1/2 innings. Turns out I was sort of correct. Glasnow only made 1 mistake - a jack by Jack. :thumbs up:

I remember that clearly. So very bizarre. Today he would have been suspended for a year. Then there's DPOY Myles Garrett who hit poor Rudolph in the head with his own helmet the year before and got a 6 game suspension.

Just don't bet while you're on suspension!

If the mid 70s Pirates had starting pitching like this, they would have won 115 games. Of course, they had much better bullpens.
    BLUTO sitting vs. LHP.

They're jacking Skenes. Ohtani's got him figured. I wasn't following the game and tuned into the CBS schematic Gametracker and was blown away with a 7-0 score in the 2nd and knocking undefeated Paxton out early. Any rain in forecast tonight?

Beside that, he was a Giant, we were a Dodger house!

3 games under 500, can we get back to 500 before All Star break?

He didn't look like he had his best stuff tonight. Seemed to miss on the off speed pitches quite a bit

I call the Bucs teeter's. This is how it goes, 5 games under, then 4, back to 5, now down to 3. No doubt in my mind we lose today (sorry) because the Bucs play with it but by seasons end they are 20 games under.

The Bucs have done decent against some of the money teams. Split with Phillies, won this series against Dodgers.

That was nice to see, but I think Jones's performance against the Dodgers in the previous game was the bigger deal for the team. He seemed to be fading, but his velocity bounced back and it showed in the results.

Bucs have beaten Dodgers 10 of last 15 they've played with 1/3rd the payroll. So there is parity in MLB. :lolol:

    Smoke and mirrors.
