That was funny. They asked a kid in the stands what his favorite thing is about Skenes. He said his mustache and Livvy Dunne. I was like what? Then I looked that name up. Smart kid!!

 

Shocking news Tellez strikes out again. He is headed towards the .175 mark. Come on Bob open the checkbook a little. You got pitchers.

 

Skenes another decent outing. Not like in Chicago but effective. 6 innings, 1 run on a bad call and 5 hits.

And just like that the Giants start coming back against our bullpen. 5-2 now.

 

The worst part is, this was about his level of performance last year. He is doing about what could be expected. I don’t think he gets too many more chances to hit. Bet he is gone by June 1. That contract is a sunk cost, and they need to give others who are performing well a shot.

Dear Bob, Chapman was great, not so much now. Please get another reliever and bring up a double A first baseman cause we got a single A one.

 

Back to a four run lead. That is not nearly enough with the Steel Sieve Bullpen. Man I wish we had Dave Giusti and Ramon Hernandez right now.

Dear Pirate starting pitchers, hang in there before you know it you'll be on a MLB team.

 

Really discouraging. No lead is safe with these clowns. Catcher simply misses a fast ball allows the guy to advance to second scores on a single up the middle. Ballgame

 

Another blown game thanks to our bullpen. If it was up to me, i would send all our relievers down to triple A and bring up a bunch of young arms!
Such a waste to our SPs! Overpaid bullpen. Bring up the young guns!

 

If Chapman was any good Yankees wouldve never parted with him.
Pirates and Steelers very similar, picking up has beens that noone else wants.
This situation is very similar to Steelers getting both Wilson and Fields

 

And this tells you all you need to know about the Pirates bullpen.

It’s equally as concerning to see what has happened to the Pirates bullpen, a group that has ceded a dozen runs over the past two games and is lugging around the National League’s worst ERA (5.66) in May.

I think that Skenes, Jones, and Keller should go on strike and refuse to pitch until the bullpen is improved. You couldn’t even trade any of the relief pitchers at this point. Who would give up so much as a moldy jockstrap for one of those palookas? You just gotta eat the contracts.

 

Send em all back down and send up the young guns. I dont think at this point it could be much worse?!
It has been quite disgusting.

7-0 Pirates in the bottom of the 6th. Falter pitching a good one. I still would not bet money on them to win.

 

They somehow held on. They found the key, just score 11 runs a game. I think that Shelton should, just one time, put a reserve infielder or someone in to pitch rather than call on the bullpen. This might shame them into pitching better.
Chapman has a WHIP over 1.8. He has been a great one in years past, but may simply have no gas left in the tank.

 

Actually, a non pitcher couldnt do no worse than our bullpen. We should be 2 games under .500 right now, blown everything in last 2 games against the Giants.
