He is 9 for his last 9 even though he can make it interesting

they really should have let him work up to high leverage when he wasn’t healthy out of spring training camp

Bae being called up. Someone gotta go. (In Church Lady voice) “Could it beeeee…..TELLEZ?” I hope so.
Note my previous post on moves I think they need to make. Looks like they are making at least one of them, maybe two.

Tellez does need gone. He's been horrible at the plate. Someone needs to work with Cruz on swinging at bad pitches. He has a lot of pop in his bat but needs to make contact a lot more. Wish we could keep Cruz for a long time

Holy cow!!!! I find this hard to believe but those battling Bucs actually battled back and scored 4 in the bottom of the 9th to tie Giants and beat them in the 10th.

Could they get back to .500 somehow? Stay tuned, same "bat channel", same "bat time". OK I saw an old original Batman yesterday. Holy Pirates Batman, the Bucs got some starting pitching.

A rare come from behind win last night. Come from ahead losses are much more common.
I have not seen any breakdown on this, but it looks like the Pirates as a team walk a good bit but also strike out a good bit. Anyone know if the philosophy of the hitting coach is for them to take a lot of pitches? Maybe they need to change that.

So true about the losses:( I do wonder if they are told to get the pitch count up and a lot of time it seems the opposing pitchers know this and throw very hittable balls the first pitch. Connor Joe seems to have a green light at times but the others suck it.

Pirates have called up a minor league catcher, Grant Koch. He has been in the Pirates’ farm system for six years and has a career batting average of .203. I wonder if he has some special rapport with Skenes, and will be his personal catcher.
At any rate, the Grant Koch era of Pirates Baseball has begun. Anyone feel different?

We are not allowed to have a catcher that can hit over .200 He will fit right in.

Congrats to Jim Leyland and Manny Sanguillen also inducted into the Buc HOF.

Jim Leyland is a fine example of great players make for great Coaches. 1993 salary dump becomes a huge saying in Pittsburgh. Jim is left with the type Pirates we have come to know and love. Jim did not do so well in 1993.
