On April 24th, 2023, Mike Tomlin and Omar Kahn will have their Pre Draft Conference; live at 11 A.M. EST. This is much, much later than the team normally does though in the teams defense... new Front Office means a lot of moving parts which equates into more complex logistical planning. That all said, it will be interesting to see what they discuss. Regarding that, jot down some of your predictions one what you believe the team will be.

*** PLEASE KEEP PREDICTIONS TO A MAXIMUM OF THREE! GIVES OTHER MEMBERS A CHANCE TO VOICE THEIR OPINIONS!! ***

Allow me to start with just two. They are as follows.

1.) Mike and Omar both concur that Offensive Tackle and Corner will be needed additions but Tackle's depth and talent is not as great.

2.) Mike will likely discuss the possibilities of double dipping on one of those two positions; pick 32 potentially being a means to an end for such.

Anyone else excited?! I know I am! Finally have some time off from my second occupation for tomorrow so I am not missing this!! :steelflag::steelflag::steelflag:

He always post his daily shots at around 2300/0100 every day. Not sure why he posts stuff in the middle of the night.

    Well...!!

Of the two predictions that I had, one of them came to pass; the second one if anything.

Man they want to move this pick. Hope they get a good return for it but also hope they get their man that they would grab at 32. Will be some good choices there for that but love the idea of picking up more picks, they need them.

Did Omar just admit that they may have skirted the rules about player visits? I'll admit I don't know the hard and fast rules but saying meeting with local guys doesn't count is that an understood gap in the rules?

Yes, local players do not count towards the allotted 30 visits.

Read yesterday the rule is as long as Pittsburgh doesn't pay for their travel (they drive themselves) ,it counts as a local visit. A player could have played for Hawaii, but if he's from Western PA/Eastern Ohio/WV it still counts as a local visit.

I hope they wait until the 2nd day to move this pick if they do. Have a look at the board before round 2 begins and then decide if you want to move it, because there may be a player that has fallen to you at #32 that you never would have dreamed would still be on the board.

Love this. The thought of double dipping at CB has been mentioned in a few pod casts. Will be interesting to see. That said I still think getting a S in picks 3 or 4 will get a long look. When you get a guy that can free Minkah to do his thing, your secondary is far more effective.

I think them not having a 5th or 6th rd pick, plays a part in them wanting to trade #32.

In honor of Franco Harris, I think we ought to stand pat and pick at no. 32. It’ll be hard to watch this draft and not think about how excited Franco was when he announced the Steelers’ pick of Kenny Pickett in the first round last year. I think the fact that the Steelers have pick number 32 somehow seems providential.

This is not a smart reason to stick to 32. While good for the fans, sentimentality is a horrible emotion when it comes to running a franchise.

I think if we have/had the opportunity to trade back and still add players that would make the team better ..Franko would like/ want that ..

Disappointed that Kahn said we were not drafting a QB this year.

I wanted one of those 7th round picks to go to a QB, so you could get him locked up on a 4 year deal if he has a great camp. They had 2 QBs in for visits this offseason, Tune and Hall, and I think they took Bennett out for dinner at the Georgia Pro Day.

Stay put and make the pick. The player we draft at 32 will be a solid contributor to the Steelers success for the next decade. I’ve got a feeling about this one. Write it down. :thumbs up:
