This is true but you just never know with the QB market the way it is. Teams are always over paying for them so someone could take a flier on him.

Maybe more. Minshew, rush and several others made under a million last year. It's still a chunk of money we could use elsewhere. I'm hoping they hit in the 7th round of udfa as well.

Sure, but if they can do as good or better for a few million less they should let Mitch find his next team. I don’t think Mitch is at a point where he accepts being a backup QB yet, and he could potentially go somewhere else and be a decent stop gap starter. I’d rather have a guy who knows that he’s the #2 and embraces the role.

I get that. I'm just not sure the savings will be as much as some people think, though that depends on who they go after to be the backup.

I want Him off the team. LoL.
Honestly.....He thinks He's still a starter, or He wouldn't been upset with the change. With that mindset....what can He be of help to our rookie???
Plus He has a bunch of terrible football habits as a Qb that I don't want to see passed on here.

Do you think the Steelers either Cut or Sign a new QB before the draft?

They don't have to move on Mitch they can use him as the 4th arm in camp and then cut him before the season starts and still save the $8 million. Although it would be tough to convince a quality vet backup to sign with Pittsburgh with Mitch still on the roster.

I think Dobbs is still looking for a home.

I don't see how they don't cut Trubisky. They brought Him in as a stop gap/ bridge....well he is no longer that. They didn't bring Him in as a backup.

Art ll said after the season they were planning on Trubisky being on the team in 2023 FWIW, if he asks to be traded or released, they might accommodate him.

    Sign before the draft

Not a chance unless for a third string

Either Mitch or Mason will be retained but not both for second

A third string will get acquired by some method and also a piece of fodder for camp

Rinse dry repeat same as every year

    This is easy to predict
