Man...I don't know about best player, but I definitely agree about best Qb. He could be the best Qb I've ever seen, and I hate it. LoL

I think him doing what hes doing without tyreek this yr solidified it. He did still have kelce but they had average at best WRs and he still made it work. There's no way if you're starting a team tomorrow someone takes anyone other then him.

Only way eagles beat mahomes is do what Bucs did to him. Eagles have a really good interior d line with big cox and hargrave

When healthy you are correct. His season could easily end in the first quarter especially when he is moving so slow

He wasn't moving slow yesterday, and I'm sure he will be a lot healthier and moving better in 2 weeks.

I live in Missouri so I peripherally root for the Chiefs, especially since Jerry and Cronke stole our home team. That said, some here may not believe in the Eagles, but I think they're the most complete team in the league this year.

They had the best overall record this season. I believe they set a record for rushing touchdowns this year (39!) and are about to surpass the all-time record for sacks if you include both the regular season and postseason. Great front 7 and secondary. Can beat you running and throwing. Great coaching staff.

I'm not at all an Eagles fan mind you, but it's hard not to believe they're the most complete team when you look at all the facts.

As much as they abused number 21, they were going to rename it Hilton Head; however, that was already a place so they nixed it.

Don't forget Jerry Springer! He was the mayor, too, until he got caught paying a prostitute.

He's been really good pressured this year. Hell he was really good pressured in this game, on a bum ankle!

So, looking at some pull downs of the Eagles defense and I know everyone is crowing about their sack total. How they're really going to get after Mahommes and all.

They never really played a good QB-WR combo all year. Sack totals are telling as well.

62 came when a team came out of a huddle, giving them time to be in their preferred personnel.
60 came out of Shotgun as well.

Break it down even further (These are single game numbers)
    9 against the Commanders
6 (24) on Pickett 3rd start, Tennessee, Chicago, Dallas (none in that first game and they won that one!)
    7 on Giants and Saints

47 sacks in 7 games! Not a top QB or Oline in there either!

You play your schedule, but I see some serious stat padding.

Yup that dude rolled out and got the first down at the end of the game on a bad ankle he'd been playing on the whole game! While having clutch throws under pressure all game!

The pressure Mahomes faced in that SB was 100 times more fierce than what Burrow faced against KC. That would have defeated any QB. Mahomes would have laughed off the pressure Burrow faced Sunday.

It’s undeniable that some QB’s face pressure better than others. Burrow is a top QB but I feel fans and media have him way overrated. Second big moment as in many years thats he failed. Had the ball in his hands with a chance to drive them into FG range and did nothing, just had to get them into FG range, not even a TD and blew it. The greats don’t do that. He never belonged in the same conversation as Mahomes, there is Mahomes and then everyone else. I was even mistaken putting Allen in his tier, Mahomes is in a tier all by himself.

I'm with you here. Mahommes makes throws under pressure in key moments. His TDs were awesome throws.

Burrow, he's good and he'd be good anywhere, but he's not making the kind of throws under pressure Mahommes makes. You got to see the protection on that sack and do something with the protection.

Burrow folds under pressure. A lot of times he gets sacked or throws a pick. Occasionally he connects for a big play. No pressure and he tears up the field. Bengals better spend a ton on Oline.

Why...it's what I've always told You, and You always disagree. Great Qbs make their Wrs 97% of the time. Year after Year people see this....yet when a Qb they think should be great, and is not....1st excuse.....He doesn't have enough weapons. LoL.
With Great Qbs...it's always...next man up.

Mahomes is a generational QB. He'll make WR's better than they are, but it's not as if his WR's are garbage. He has decent WR's and arguably the best TE ever, although I don't dispute that Mahomes and Kelce both make each other better. Take Kelce away and even Mahomes will struggle at times.
A good QB can be made to look great with the addition of elite WR's, and a great QB can struggle a bit without weapons around him.
Also, elite WR's are elite with or without a top QB. Look at Tyreek Hill, he was even better without Mahomes.
Look at what Deandre Hopkins did all those years with no QB's.
You don't think that the addition of AJ Brown is a huge reason why Hurts is so much better this year?
Elite QB's don't make elite WR's. Elite WR's are elite all on their own, but they're better with a good QB throwing them the ball (just look at poor DJ Moore as proof of that). Just like an elite QB is going to be better if he's surrounded with weapons.

When Reid took over as HC of the Chiefs, the 4 seasons before they drafted Mahomes, the Chiefs were 12-4, 11-5, 9-7, 11-5...the season before hiring Reid, the Chiefs were 2-14.

Mahomes was drafted onto a winning franchise with likely the best offense mind in the NFL. Mahomes isn't the only one that is good on that offense, the receivers, running backs and offense line are also.

I don't know why Burrows is being bagged on as not being good, he's only in his 3rd year and was a big part of turning a long time very bad franchise around.
    • Mahomes 6 seasons - all under Reid
    • Allen 5 seasons
    • Burrows 3 seasons
    • Pickett 1 season - all under Canada

I guess 97% flew over Your head.
Believe what You want. Ben, A. Rodgers, P. Manning, Brees, and so on....teams didn't have to go out, and bring in some already made , for sure Wrs.... they just drafted more. Don't believe Me go look it up. Again Great Qbs make their weapons 97% of the time...., and ok Qbs must have already made one's brought in.
Complain about it all You want, but history backs up what I say.

LMAO, he really fit what the Steelers used him for, but if he has to man up outside he's seriously outmatched. All Corners are going to get burned these days, it's just the nature of the beast.

You can't really blame the Steelers for trying to get someone to do what he does cheaper or better.

I tend to agree but you can't convince me if Bradshaw didn't have Swann and Stallworth a lot of his passes would not have been caught.

I’m getting that sick feeling Chiefs get blown out.

Their Offense is just too hurt and they have like one playmaker on Defense.

Well ....He wouldn't throw those kind of passes for just anyone....He/Qbs know what the strengths of their weapons are after playing with them for awhile.
