If he can do the 40 better than Jamain Stephonson, then that at least is a start.

No way Cam Smith makes it that far. Just because We aren't looking at Him....shows .....Hell I don't know what it shows:shrug:
Smoothest Hips of the CBs, and start, and stop are exactly what you want.
I believe 4 different teams have taken Him to dinner, and We will be wondering why We didn't. Guess His name isn't right.

Never used this mock draft site before and doubt I will again, but this draft would make me very happy D2252DD0-1B68-4A77-830A-475CC04E5E0A.jpeg

I just don't know about Carter, starting to get Haynesworth vibes.

I mean, that's a huge discussion if he's there at 17, but totally depends on if there's a top OT or CB on the board.

Because he drove a car fast? Repeat after me: the Steelers won’t be drafting an ot in round 1

As for me Carter is comparable to Tuitt, for just losing the love for the game because of nothing that happened on the field. I really want to see Jalen Carter pop up on the 30 Visit Report. I think Tomlin and Co need to sit down with his in a closed door meeting and see if they can pick his brain.

    https://steelersdepot.com/2023/03/2023-pittsburgh-steelers-pre-draft-visit-tracker/

Glad to see Ringo on the 30 Visit. The kid is only 20 years old and has only 2 years of college experience, but boy does he check all the boxes for raw talent. Probably should have stayed in school at least 1 more year if not 2. He is getting compared to all these players that are 2 years older than him that are coming out as Seniors after playing 4 years in college.

I also would like to see some more OTs on the list.

I guess there will be no Carter sightings in Pittsburgh for a visit. And who is surprised that this Bullsh!t is coming from Drew Rosenhaus!

Gotta remember that this is Drew's job. I do agree about the means of how he conducts business but sadly, an agents job is to represent their client to the maximum of their ability; no matter what their reputation or controversy they may be in. By that metric, Drew is killing it as he has a number of very controversial but high profile athletic people.

.... Within that same vein, as the saying goes... "Money doesn't change you but makes you more of what you already are." In Drew's case, subservient to the US Dollar Bill.

Regarding Carter, not surprised. That said, it will be interesting to see what happens. Mind you that Laremy Tunsil was projected to go as high as number one overall in 2016 until he did something foolish. Cost him millions but he did make it back later down his career. I wouldn't be surprised to see Carter go as high as the Top Five but I also wouldn't be surprised to see him fall out of the Top 10 either.

No the no workouts at pro day, now the not taking visits from teams outside the top 10.

This ain't the old wild west days of rookie contracts, most of these guys will make they're money by showing something the first 2 years or so and on that second contract. If you get go the point that a team is exercising it's 5th year option, you're probably mediocre or priced yourself out of that teams salary cap.

Ww won't draft Jalen Carter. Since he is not meeting with anyone after 10. I don't want a player with such arrogance.

I'm not big on Him either... too many things up in the air about Him right now, but that decision is by His agent. He's known for this sort of thing.

Really? Would you be thinking of Jones as a DT conversion project? You realize he doesn’t play defense, right? :lolol:

We Must draft a corner. We may draft 2.

    We must draft a DLman

We may draft a T, but only in the first 2picks or in the 7th. We must not draft a mid round tackle.

We may draft a Linebacker at anytime other than 17.

We may draft a WR anywhere. Even 17. It's not the best move but value may dictate we do.

We should draft Edge. Preferably at 32 or 49. But not earlier

A Safety can be drafted whereever he brings value.

If we trade back out of 17 or 32, one of the resulting extra picks should be spent on RB. There are too many good ones... Syracuse and Pitt have 2 that particularly interest me.

A late Rd Center is acceptable. Middle Rd center is permissible.

Do not draft a QB, Guard, Kicker or Punter

Draft a TE only if a trade back happens and we secure extra picks. But a TE can be drafted at any pick, not just the acquired pick.

With all the above in mind. Go draft us a few studs.

Yeah but why even play with that. If he drops and Drew is still pulling this, does he show at mini-camp without being signed yet?

I'm sure He would. I think it's a push to get teams worried that He won't be there later, and so they better take Him as a top 10. It's a ploy.....a different type of smoke screen. IMO. It could backfire.

I'm thinking so as well, but he's got too much on tape top drop too far for a team not to take a chance. bI mean this could be to get him out of the 1st round and secure a second contract deal quicker because there's no 5th year option available.

And guess who has the first pick in R2 this year….

He clearly won’t make it that far unless something else comes out against his character. Even then, he’d have to be at risk of going to prison for a few years before the Bengals take him off their board (I’m not so sure that even that would stop them).

My prediction is No qb will getting take in the 2023 draft until pick #20. It's all smokescreens thrown up about these qbs because people no longer take the best qb avaliable in the top 5 nor trade up for them. Carolina wants Will Anderson.
