We've been kicking the can down the road ever since the salary cap was enacted in the early 90s. It used to be with restructures though now void years seem to be the method of choice.

I really have no idea how they do this without eventually having a firehouse sale every several years. But its been working! We still lose free agents on a regular basis but have kept a competitive team almost yearly. I wish Mr. Kuhn would handle my finances so I could spend beyond my means every year without it ever catching up to me.
