Another report I saw had him getting only $1.1 million. Now maybe he didn't want to come back, but damn, that would have been a perfect fit at a price the team could afford.

They should have kept him in 2019 instead of signing Barron

I saw an opinion that they are waiting to the end of the month when he won’t affect the comp formula.

Always like Gio and thought he was underutilized in Cincy. I could see the Chiefs picking him up, they won’t be bringing Bell back.

Browns fans said he sucks in coverage, that might be why they didn't keep him.

Sure hope we aren’t making decisions based on what Browns fans think.

I know this was asked before ... but, I'm just too lazy to go look. But, what would you give up, for Russell Wilson... as your future qb?

I wouldn't do it just because, realistically... You'd have to give up a ton...And this team has so many holes, that given that...By the time you had the assets again, Wilson would be about done

This team is in rebuild mode wether they accept it or not.

I actually think this would be a great signing. I always thought he was a very good running back. He doesn't have a ton of wear and tear on him either. Maybe something will happen

Wish Cincy had released him sooner, they kind of screwed him. I would have preferred him to Ballage. I think Ballage may be insurance if the draft doesn’t work out for them. I don’t see them bringing in Gio now.

He was very underrated, and would often pop up in games against the Bengals just when you didn't want him to. I always kind of hated-admired him for that.

Gio gets hurt as much as Conner does.

He hasn’t had an injury since 2018 when he missed 4 games with a MCL sprain. Most time he missed before that was 2016 with a ACL, missed the last 6 games. Outside of those two years he has been relatively healthy during his 10 year career.

Idk, when he becomes the featured back he ends up on the injured list.

He was the feature back last year while Mixon was out :lolol:

I think those two seasons with the knee injuries are what is sticking in your mind.

Doesn’t matter, I don’t see a scenario where we’d bring him in now.

Nothing. If a team has everything in place with young players, they see a 2-3 year window and can handle the huge contract and loss of future top draft picks, then throw the dice and take a gamble.maybe. The Rams essentially have been doing that, but that window they think they have closes very quickly, and the franchise could end up in the dump with no draft picks and over paid aging players. Just not worth the risk.

Still think it is better to build from within, hope to find a young QB and sign a half decent b/u to get you through the youngster's learning years.

The Browns front office might feel the same way, they let him walk.
