2020 Draft Prediction Contest

Bored my Steeler friends so for poop and giggles a little contest.

Predict the Steelers first round pick and what time EST we take him.
Predict the Steelers second round pick.

In a shocker the Pittsburgh Steelers take with 17th pick in the second round: Jalen Hurts QB on April 24th at 8:43 PM EST.

Second round pick: K.J. Hamler Receiver.

This is just my opinion that the Steelers have a 50% Ben and no replacement. Then might as well get another offence guy. To be honest I have zero idea how they are thinking but we are going to have to get lucky with our picks.

Zach Braun had a diluted test at the combine because he was drinking so much water. I'm going to say it forces teams to lower him on their boards as a risk and he falls into the second.

I predict the Steelers jump on this and package two 3rd picks to jump up 10 spots to 39 and select him to pair with TJ and let Bud walk next year.

I have no skill at this stuff but one can dream right.

 

With the 17th pick of the 2nd round, the Steelers select someone from the state of Virginia.

 

With the 49th pick in the 2020 NFL draft the Steelers select Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB-LSU.
In the 3rd round the Steelers select Antonio Gandy-Golden WR-Liberty.

 

Round two #49: Jalen Reagar WR

Round three compensatory pick: Cam Akers RB

Thats assuming no trades. I would not be surprised to see them trade their 2021 second rounder for an additional third in this draft

 

Good one. Boredom has got me so confused.

 

Yesterday I asked my wife what the date was. She stared at the calendar, then asked me what day of the week it was. I wasn’t sure.

 

This would be a great draft if the Steelers could come away with both Reagor and Akers. If Reagor is there at #49, I think he has to be the choice.

 

Somebody will slip like Metcalf did last year, he might be there you never know. Doubtful Akers will be there at the end of the third but like I said I can see them trying to get up higher in the third round by trading one of their fourth round picks or a 2021 pick.

They should have a few compensatory picks in 21 after all the free agent losses so I wouldn’t be too worried about borrowing draft capital from next year if it helps them now.

 

I’ve been on the Reagor bandwagon a while. I think I’m actually driving it.. I would take Uche if he’s there over Akers though in the 3rd.....Give me a S preferably a FS with one of our 4ths and a IOL ,DL or RB with our other 4th Whoever we have rated higher there. jmo
