It's time to get Bill Cowher into the Hall. I am really surprised he never gets more consideration.

I really hope Hines gets in. Maybe this is his year.

While I'd love to see him elected this round, I think it will be tough for Hines (3rd time semi-finalist) as he still has that "dirty player" image by many outside of Steeler Nation and he's up against 5 times semi-finalists WR's Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt - both from the Greatest Show on Turf and each probably considered overdue. If he doesn't make it, we should probably boycott road games until he's elected and see how the NFL likes half empty stadiums! ;)

I would guess Ed Reed and Tony Gonzalez are elected in their first year of eligibility. There are a lot of players that were similar in their abilities per position. Faneca will be compared against Boselli and Mawae. Ward has to go up against Bruce and Holt. Ward and Bruce each have a clutch Super Bowl touchdown catch, but Bruce's is more directly credited for the win; while Ward's catch sealed a win, but he has the SB MVP. But Canton is the Pro FOOTBALL Hall of Fame, and when you say football, Ward stands out because when a blocking wide receiver is mentioned, Ward's name always comes to mind, who is the standard. Faneca and Ward have a good shot this year, but it will only be one Steeler if either of them make it. I doubt it is both.

Ed reed and tony Gonzalez are locks. Bailey is likely a lock as well. That's 3 slots right there. Hines will eventually get in but receivers normally have to wait. Only 3 modern wrs have been first ballot in rice, moss, and largent and obviously moss and rice were no brainers.

For some reason I was thinking Ed and Troy retired the same year..

This has to be the year Faneca gets in. Here is hoping he can break through.

Surprised Bill Cowher is on the ballot. Was he on it last year as well?
