"1 is the loneliest number........" (except when 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 follow :rawk:). Just think how great "1" will feel when #7 leads them/us to #7 this year. We're gonna need a bigger trophy case!

To mac daddyo and MojaveDesertPGHFan - Thanks for all your replies and feedback on this training camp countdown. Your comments kept me moving forward. It was a lot of fun to see pictures that bring back awesome memories of when I was a kid. And thank you to Steelers Nation for viewing the thread each day. I am expecting the season to be 19 times more fun than this thread.

Why I'm a Steeler fan in 2017.....rest in peace, los true Chargers.
Two teams, in season game, one shows tough and greatness. The other shows nada.
And you did it all despite the refs cheating you of 20 seconds. Sorry about that.;)

I know he wore #21, but would Famous Amos qualify as the true modern day Steeler "Zero"?

You are so very welcome. You did all the work Take - we just reacted like boys on summer recess messing around. Time to re-stock the liquor cabinet. Now how many days till the next SB? :hehehe:

There is a bit of truth in most humor and that is probably so with Zeroue as well. There were several times I could have included a snide remark about a player, but I decided to refrain from doing so. First of all, I would have been worn out commenting on many players from the 1930's to the 1960's. Secondly it is an honor for those players to play in the NFL and specifically those who play for the Steelers, so I wanted to respect their accomplishment of even being on the Steelers.

Sorry - I wasn't saying that Amos Z was a "zero" meaning a waste (I thought he was quite serviceable at times) - I was making a pun of his last name Zero-way and perhaps he could have worn "0" or "00" to make light of his name. Otherwise you are a gentleman and a scholar for entertaining the troops like Bob Hope at a USO show all summer. Good show my Man! :applaud:

Thanks, Mojave - that would have been pretty cool if Zeroue had worn #0. I get what you mean.
